When they shoot you into the sun will you make a poof sound or a sizzle and a bright flash?
None of the above. Sound waves don't travel through space.

Sure they do.

They don't travel in vacuums, though.

There are inadequate molecules in the vacuum of space for the conduction of sound, therefore no sound waves can be received by the ear and converted into a useful signal to the brain.

So then the flash will be some slight fluctuation of the sun's rays during the day?

So, In theory. If Ash is of a greater mass? The possibility of us seeing the slight fluctuation of the sun when he goes Poofta is greater than any expectations of sound ever reaching the earth?

If Ash is the mass of a million suns then I'm fairly certain we're all dead. Or dying. Or dead a million times over before I click Post Message, anyway.

And sound will never reach Earth, unless the sound waves travel in a material that eventually moves to Earth, thus carrying the waves over into our atmosphere. Imagine ripples in a pond viewed from another pond. Once those ripples reach land, you can't see them anymore, and they don't carry over into your pond. Technically a bad analogy since the waves would ever so slightly move through the ground as well, but you get the idea. Unless the pond is moved over into your pond...

Okay, ***** the analogy. The answer is yes. Or no. I forgot the question.
