But it's clearly not an evolutionary advantage. Y'know, because it exists.

Maybe it's natures way of population control? Who knows?

All I know is, in a time where we can barely support the population we have (worldwide) less people having kids is a good thing, amirite? (Yes, I am).

There's evidence to support that family groups that include same-sex individuals are more inclined to have more children in the alternate-sex relationships. So it's possible that same-sex desire among some individuals actually leads to group health.

And, historically, it seems communities with only two gender roles aren't even really common. When Westerners arrived in the Americas, it was to find that Native American communities by and large had 4 genders between the 2 sexes, for example. The only modern thing about same-sex desire is our homosexual identity.

As you were, Gay is NATURAL because it naturally occurs.

That's like claiming it's perfectly normal for everyone to be born with Alzheimer's because it naturally occurs. That isn't normal and just because it happened naturally doesn't change that fact.

Mm, I see what you're getting at. You're more arguing against a creator than anything else. Interesting.

He refuses to accept that body parts have functions because that leads to the belief of a greater being. What he has failed to acknowledge is that people didn't make the heart beat or the lungs expand. We only observed them doing so. We didn't create the heart or what it does, nor can we think really really hard and have it change to something else. Nor can we keep flapping our arms and hope to fly, hold our breath and live underwater or anything else that our body can't support.

The bottom line is that body parts serves a purpose regardless if it came from evolution, a higher being or created from man.

According to your arbitrary and subjective definition of normality.

Lol, what a ridiculous rebuttle. I doesn't do crap to affect my argument. For one thing, all I ever said is that every organ merely has a list of possible functions, and that which one we view as primary is entirely subjective to our end goal for the organ and the environment we are in. Since flight is not a possible use of human arms, this is hardly a valid counterpoint.

Furthermore, I completely acknowledged the affects of evolution. That's kinda the point. Natural selection chooses in favor (or against) certain variables in specific circumstances. That doesn't mean that there's an objective truth about the function of an organ created by natural selection--the past doesn't matter. Say someone makes a hammer, with the intention of using it to knock in nails. He'd be inclined to call that its purpose. But if a murderer began using it, he definitely wouldn't consider that its primary focus anymore.

It's no different with organs.

And the purposes served are completely and totally subjective, and should not be turned to for objective backing.
