Connecting 2 PS2's to the same connection problem!Follow

#1 May 03 2004 at 11:41 AM Rating: Decent
I have to PS2's connected, through a router, to my cable modem. When 2 of us are trying to get on at the same time and play, we can't get a connection. It starts to load the game, but then loses connection. I can play on 1 PS2 with no problem, coming directly from my modem, but as soon as I try to use the router, it only allows a few minutes of connectivity for us and then we totally lose network. Anybody got the answer???

Thanks

What kind of router are we talking about?

I assume you have 2 separate copies of the game....You can't run 2 PS2s at the same time with just one copy of the game.

That being said, if your router has SPI, disable it. It tends to muck things up for consoles. Also make sure that the router has the latest firmware. I've worked with many brands of routers and I would estimate that about 50% of them needed minor firmware upgrades right out of the box.
