We recently got gifted one of these thingies, with a ton of accessories
I want one of those thingies, but I have no counter space for it. And Xsarus, doesn't Kitchen Aid make a pasta attachment for those?
Yes they do. I've considered getting it, but I have a hand pasta maker that's really so easy to use and works really well that I haven't bothered. I did get the meat grinder attachment, which I'm planning on using to make burgers using the Heston Blumenthal technique.

Don't think we got the pasta attachment thingy, but admittedly there's still some pieces still in the box. What the hand pasta maker look like, cost, etc?
Probably should just google it, but this way is more fun.

Burgers sound awesome. I got some leftover fish, and the Mrs. just called me this morning to let me know that it's old and may not be something I want to eat. Now we have to decide whether to risk eating it, or risk eating the hospital cafeteria food. So yeah, burgers sound awesome...
Also being sick sucks.

Here is something that you can have an opinion on!

I haven't watched Deadpool yet, I figure I'll pick it up when it comes out on VHS-DVD-Bluray-Data-ness. (honestly, I don't even know anymore what format I should purchase anymore, since DVD's seem "old" now too. haha)

Moving away from DVD bugs me in a sense. Not that I have anything against high-definition bluray stuff or whatnot, but I just can't justify paying $5 more to see Peg+Cat in HD.

You'll know if you're going to like Deadpool by the time you get to the opening credits.
The only thing I can think of that made me slightly lukewarm was the nonlinear narrative. Hie entire origin story is told in flashbacks. Plural. It's not a giant "2 years earlier" flashback, it's present time action interrupted by the occasional flashback to tell his origin story. It's a minor thing, but I felt it sort of slowed down the pace of the movie. I'm a sucker for linear narratives, though, so YMMV.

My theater was in stitches during the opening credit sequence.
I kind of like the disjointed narrative. Jumping from point to point in the story was a little confusing, but it was something different for the genre and that's always appreciated. My biggest problem was that the happy ending was very un-Deadpool. The last time Deadpool was happy in the books the world literally exploded. Literally. Also now that the R rating was found to work, more movies are jumping on that bandwagon. Wolverine 3 is aiming at it, and apparently next month's Batman v Superman's Blu-Ray is going to be R rated, which makes me not want to see the movie in the theater. Why pay like ten bucks for the censored version, right?

Apparently zam.com has decided a forum isn't as interesting as a fully generic video game fansite.

I guess it's expected that he would be narrating his own back story. I've always suspected I'd like Deadpool, I always loved wise-cracking super heroes, and all the previews had me in stitches.
I just haven't gone because I'm like "go to the theater... or get personal projects done at home... hmmmmm..." Guess which one wins 9 times out of 10. haha

I haven't even taken the time to purchase a Bluray player yet.. I'll probably get a drive for my computer. But I always ride the tech train a little behind so I don't need to pay as much. (financial limitations and stuff... aka " financial responsibility" aka, I'm boring at parties haha!)
Went from some random thing on a Reddit science page, to reading xkcd what-ifs, to a video about 20k bouncy balls falling out of a helicopter, to thinking I really wanted to be one of those kids running around trying to collect as many as I could. That's about the point I realized I was never going to figure out what was wrong with the data I was pretending to analyze and it was time to go home anyway.
Yay Mondays!

checking xkcd is actually one of the highlights of my week. That either translates into: My life is mundane, or xkcd is hilarious... I'd like to thing the latter.
They're often hilarious. Trying to explain them to the 7 year old who's wondering why daddy is laughing so hard at computer is another story though. On the plus side, she can at least get the gist of it, so we now know airplanes can't fly on Jupiter.
Just put a check mark next to the science lesson for the day.

Kudos to taking the time to explain that, you'll have a clever 7 year old! haha
