Went through all my toons yesterday and traded in all their Stone Keeper's Shards for Wintergrasp Commendations. Had 7 toons who'd been doing heroics so far - ended up with about 400k in honor to spend on Rarebeast (after trading in a 170 old BG tokens as well). So now I am the proud owner of 4/5 Furious Gladiator's Resto gear, the Wrathful neck, back & wrists and the Medallion of the Horde (Prev only had the crap no resilience one). My spellpower is about the same as my resto gear (offspec), the regen & mana pool is a little lower and I have just under 800 resilience.

Did a few BG's and the resilience really does make a difference. I takes a 2-3 alliance to take me down now (except OP Ret Pallies - I really hate seeing those wings!). Then I had to spend time fixing my action bars and macros (some of which should have been done already for PvE). Now I have mouseover macros for NS-HT, Swiftmend, roots, cyclone, hibernate, moonfire, wrath & Brez. I've also set it up so my action bar is the same in caster as it is in tree so I can switch in and out easier and have keybinds for my trinket, barkskin & natures grasp.

I feel like I know what I am doing a bit now in BG's and have made good use of many of my abilities that were not used much before. Still need to remember to hit barkskin and nature's grasp a lot more and not to use nourish and regrowth as much.

Now I need to decide whether to muck around with my spec & glyphs when I am still mainly resto offspec for PvE and am only playing around with PvP. If I can make changes that won't too adversely affect my raiding, then I will (wish I could get Insect Swarm AND Wild Growth).

I've basically not PvP'd since WotLK came out so it is fun getting achievements like "win 1 Alterac Valley" when I am already exalted with Frostwolf :)

Smiley: nod

Also, I wish our group would stop wiping on the entry room trash. I mean, we can one-shot the first 6 bosses, but die 3 times on the trash before Marrowgar, not cool. Smiley: mad

Also, I've come to the realization that we're all half-awake when we're raiding. Our tank had 2 hours of sleep after a night of drinking. Guess that means sloppy pulls. We really need him to stop being late to every raid too.

Also, I've decided I don't give a flying @#$% about frost emblems. Gear isn't holding us back, and the ICC buff keeps getting stronger anyway.

Rarebeast, pallies are probably the easiest thing to shut down as a druid.

They don't have an interrupt so you free cast to your hearts content. The second you see them pop wings, you chain cyclone them and they don't have wings anymore.

Root them also if you really want to **** them off, cause they'll blow freedom and you just cyclone them again. You literally can keep a pally locked down for awhile.

Bored Druid ran his last couple of ICC runs through a spreadsheet.

Current stat weighting

SP = 1.00
Haste = .976
Crit = .292

Haste hasn't overtaken spellpower yet, but boy it's getting close.

------HPET - Effective HPET - % of healing done
RJ - 13732.68 - 3613.91 - 61.48
WG - 28448.95 - 6983.23 - 15.85
LB - 11460.15 - 3662.14 - 6.27
RG - 12941.27 - 4787.42 - 7.67
No - 9613.54 - 4294.93 - 7.65
SM - 9819.4 - 5270.31 - 1.08

When you compare the potential HPET of a spell to the actual HPET, based on healing done, RJ isn't as appealing. Probably has to do with how I just spam it constantly, whether or not it's needed as an insurance policy or sorts. Guess that'll end in cata. I also should probably have a discussion with the other healers about HoT clipping.

Not surprisingly Nourish and Swiftmend are pretty effective with low amount of wasted healing. I mean they usually only get used in emergencies anyway.

LB and RG tend to be tank stuff, and I guess they are somewhere in the middle number-wise because of that.

Not much that's too surprising I suppose. Bored Druid is bored.

Ah yes, you are assuming I have some Skillz! Smiley: rolleyes I try hard and don't mind dieing.

What tends to happen is I am healing peeps then the enemy peels off at me suddenly, HoJ's me and i'm pretty much dead by the time I come out of it. I've only done a few BG's since getting me gear so it may have been a very geared (PvE) ret that got me a few times.

Aussie lag & unpracticed old man reflexes tend to be a big part of my downfall, but I am improving when I do get some time in the BG.

Mind you, I am currently trying to run 3 toons through ICC 10 & 25 each week, 5 toons though VOA 10 & 25 and trying to gear up my other 5 alts, so it is really only the on BG while I am waiting for a group to form for an instance :)

I didn't know you knew how to handle a die. Unless you're referring to the complete and permanent cessation of all vital functions, also knowing as dying.

Smiley: tongue

Seriously, though, you guys should know - it's your language.

It might be "our" language, and I probably handle it better than the average, but somehow, I can't help but feel it's one of the most ridiculous out there.

The big ones I like to jump on, are the ones where someone says something like:
"your dumb"
"your retarded"
etc

There's almost this obligatory "No, you are!" required as a response.

You can't really call someone dumb or retarded if you are dumb or retarded in the process of calling someone else dumb or retarded. Just as well keep your mouth shut! Unless you're intentionally trolling, which has become rather popular these days.

The world has become a smaller place with the internet. I'm surprised people aren't more confused than they already are with the likes of aluminium vs aluminum or defence vs defense.

For different versions of English, I like that you can actually enter them as different languages for looking for work now (at least in linguistics) and I can do American English if I get paid enough.
I know it's not so nice for others, like for going to University abroad.

Also, there are far too many people in England who can't spell to save their life.

If you study bloody linguistics, you better be able to spell, but even our English teacher can't do it all that well.

Well the guild has Val and Puti down pat now. Still working on BPC. The lock we make tank is getting better, and we should kill them on Monday.

So far after a first kill or so we tend to have them on farm as enough people that always come are there ever time. Puti took 2 kills, now he is easy. Val took 1 as did rot/fester. So I'm hoping BPC works the same way as I really want to kill LK before they up the buff again.

Had some issues in early ICC with consistency that have largely gone away. We have also been recruiting somehow. Two guys we PuGed with a lot and some randoms. Hasn't been an issue yet with who comes for the man run and the last time we had many on we just ran 2 10s as we do 25 on Thurs and I really hate doing 25 mans.

Like really hate them. So I am hoping we get to the point of running 2 10s on the main days so we can mix and match a bit for raid comps and carry that over into Cata.

One of the new guys only has 1 toon. He is amazed as most of the guild has at least one semi-geared alt if not more.

Now I'm intrigued. What would be the problem?

I've learned English from Southerners and went on to learn the tongue(s) of the British Isles so I think I should be able to figure it out.

You need to listen to the northern minnesotan accent that we get up here in the northern midwest.

Also, my guild killed LK 25 last night for the first time. They ******* sat me. I was pissed, I'm still pissed because the officers tried to sugar coat me by saying things like "We wanted to take you." Yeah, if you wanted to take me you would have. You wouldn't take the recruit who has been here 2 weeks, you'd take the druid that rocked the healing meters in BC, rocked the dps charts t7-t9, and is still pwning the healing meters in t10.

/rantoff

I did though tell the GM and one of the officers who is a good friend of mine that if I'm going to be sat every week because I can only make 2 days of the raid I'm not gonna waste my time anymore. Which means I'm likely going to be quitting.

We shall see...

In Kali's life: Yesterday, I discovered a street (ok, more of a trail than a street) without normal street signs - the ones that were there simply said RAWR!!!, and I though "durid street lolol" or something to that effect.

Having had the luck to marry a Hawaiian, I may be able to shed some light on it. I can barely understand my wife sometimes, so I imagine listening to Horse would be like learning a whole new language. Typing can't do it justice, but pretend I explained druid healing by saying:

"Press plenty buttons. First the long ones, then the one that goes 'tick tick tick', then the fast one."

Now imagine 3 of those words were Japanese (2 of which no one in Japan has spoken in like 50 years), 1 was Chinese, 1 was 3 different words all smooshed into one, and 1 was from a language not spoken outside the island chain.

Finally add in the image of Horse as a raging surly drunk, and talking about bear stuff instead...

I know I'd be totally lost... Smiley: wink

Also, less than 2 years ago I could barely understand most British people outside of Estuary English/RP. Now I can even understand Scousers if I pay close attention. I like learning dialects. I have a class next year on them. Horse, you should get on Skype to help me with my homework!

Why is the white chick talking like a troll?

On a related note, I've got a New Zealand friend and his Facebook comments are crazy. Looks like someone barfed all over the keyboard and tried to wipe it off while accidentally having selected the comment frame.
