Wait, you mean, you don't like having skulls on everything?

Or is this about the t10 helms... Smiley: lol

OR THE NOM NOM NOM SHOULDERS?!

*twitch*

Really, those things have taken a bite out of me more than once. I was actually happy when I could equip the Blood Soaked ones instead. The T10 shoulders just look horrible on a Tauren. The designer in me is crying blood, for real. The idea was cute, but really, the way they modeled it on the male Tauren is just horrible.

Like Tauren weren't cone shaped enough. Without a robe and with those nom nom monster shoulders, my Druid looks triangular.

Incidentally I don't really mind the Lasherweave shoulders. It's better than putting someone's eye out with T9.

My warlock is in the mid-50s. I hadn't done AV in a long while, so I thought I'd give it a try; forgot what it was like.

guy1: Can anyone tank?

guy1: Are you a tank?

me: I'm a warlock...

guy1: Where the @#$% are the tanks?

guy2: I'm a tank

guy1: why the #$%^ aren't you south, #$%^ard.

guy3: I like ***** (.)(.)

guy2: I'm trying, for some reason the horde doesn't want to let me through. :p

guy1: @#$% tanks shouldn't defend @#$%head

*guy2 leaves batttleground*

Smiley: rolleyes

So I'm going to Denmark tomorrow, and last night I was informed that in exchange for accomodation, I am required to "help in the fields" and "with the animals". No more specifics than that. As it is now, I'd rather pay them 150DKK a night (I've actually got enough for once), and really, the 5 months of agriscience (or whatever they called it) in high school where at first I couldn't understand the teacher because he was Texan was 5-6 years ago, and I think the most useful agricultural thing we learned was HOW TO BUY A COW, which I don't remember the least bit of.

Mazra, save me!

In all seriousness, I figure it'll be fun, or something. Interesting at the very least. I've never actually done anything of that sort.

DKK is Danish kroner, the currency here.

150 DKK ~ $25.

So, you're going to buy cattle, Kali? Smiley: lol

Norway, Sweden and Denmark all use the name 'crowns' for their currency, yes. Krona (pl: kronor) in Swedish, krone (pl: kroner) in Danish and Norwegian.

You give some guy money he gives you a cow. The cow walks around in the back field for a while and gets nice and big and fat. You have to close the gate or the cow gets out and eats the garden. Once the cow is big you give some other guy money and he takes the cow and chops it into tasty things like hamburgers and steaks for you.

I was 6 when we left the farm, so that's the limit of my understanding...

Ohai there.
Meet the new Aethien:

Yeah, I'm playing Champions Online now.
The character creator alone is more fun than WoW has been in a long time.
It's not as good as WoW is as a game and I highly doubt that it will keep me entertained for a few years like WoW has done, but for now it's just a lot of fun to play around in.
And while Abigail in WoW was a healer, the new Abigail is a witch hunter and blows up badguys with a variety of pistols and a gattling gun.

And CO has probably the single coolest BG ever.
It's in a small town, the town is attacked by a zombie invasion.
All players but one are on the same team, that last player starts with the zombies.
Everyone who dies joins the zombie invasion and the game ends when there are no player left alive.
And of course there's more and more zombies spawning as time goes on so the longest game I've had was about 15 minutes while the shortest only 3 minutes. (The guy starting with the zombies was good.... >.>)
You get points for the time you stay alive and for how many players you kill as a zombie.

Ok, no farm, just a stupid joke.

Maz, I'm gonna get a DK phone number when we can get into town later today, so I will call you. Don't think I can afford to come to Sjælland, so you should totally come here.
Actually, since I don't even have a clue where exactly you live I can't even see how much the train would cost. (HINT! HINT!)

It's really nice, but I can't eat the bread (stoopid allergies).

The house where I'm staying has a thatch roof <3

I'm tired, was up late last night with the raid thingy, and am nerding over the log file this morning. Everyone wants to do it again soon, except the people who planned it. Still we're aiming for doing it again in 2 weeks I think, unless the Mrs. changes her mind.

All said and done it went okay though, for what it was. We had about a half dozen people from 4 different guilds. I'm just really surprised at the sheer number of people who still don't move out of ooze explosions after all this time. Oh well.

Kali, I'm stuck in northern Zealand for the next week or so. Babysitting cats and a house, with no money and no transportation. Smiley: frown

In other news, I've got an appointment at the dentist tomorrow. They're probably going to pull out a wisdom tooth. Looking forward to having a needle in my mouth. Smiley: boozing

Restoration in raid
Your buttons: Rejuv, Regrowth, Lifebloom, Nourish, Healing Touch, Wild Growth.
Buttons you probably push in a raid: Rejuv, Wild Growth.*

Solution 1: We add Regorge and Rejuke as new heals. You push Rejuv and Wild Growth.
Solution 2: We get you to push Rejuv, Regrowth, Lifebloom, Nourish, Healing Touch and Wild Growth.

In Solution 1, you get new heals and still only use 2. In Solution 2 you use 6 heals. I suppose we could posit a Solution 3, where you get 2 new heals and use 8 buttons, but since we can't even get you to Solution 2 yet, that seems quite ambitious.

All of this belies the fact that there *are* new mechanics in your tree, even if there aren't new action buttons. Tree of Life and Efflorescence do things for which there is no current comparison.

* - every time I say this, druids will respond "Check my logs! I push all my buttons!" The sad truth is you likely don't need to. You can be a very good druid with those two buttons. (Source)

I think they are focusing resto first, balance second and feral last on second thought as that actually makes sense. Especially the bold part.

edit: I should read more then post but the rest adds clarity.

Restoration in Icecrown Citadel
We just don't think the data bear that out. I'm looking at a random parse for a heroic Icecrown 25 druid who healed 80% of his or her damage with Rejuv, 17.5% with Wild Growth and 2.3% with Swiftmend. That is literally 99% of healing, though I suppose you could be charitable and assume the Swiftmends did something with Regrowth. This result is very typical. Presumably this healer is no slouch, since he or she is handling the most challenging content in the game. You could argue I suppose that he or she would have been an even better healer with more buttons, but the fact is, the raid cleared the instance. This healer is not doing anything wrong. This healer figured out that ignoring those other buttons didn't really slow the group down much. We think that is a design flaw. If we saw, say the two-button druid healing Vault of Archavon and Marrowgar and the five-button druid healing heroic Sindragosa and Lich King, then it probably wouldn't be the kind of thing we were so aggro about. (Source)

mmo wrote:
But I don't like it when someone, especially as knowledgeable as Ghostcrawler, calls people bad for using a small number of abilities.
I think some of you misinterpreted what I was saying.

I said: We think druids are too effective when they only use a couple of spells. Several players called me on that saying they used all of their tools and only "bad druids" used two spells. I called them on that, saying that these so called "bad druids" were clearing every boss in the game, on heroic mode, using only two spells. So if they are truly the bad druids, there isn't enough separation between good and bad. More than likely, I think there aren't many bad druids beating LK 25 heroic, and that some druids are giving too much credit to the size of their toolbox when only a few tools are doing all the work.

It doesn't really matter though, because if you like using more tools, you should like Cataclysm healing. (Source)
