I havent kept up with all the changes of late and need some help NOT making an expensive mistake. I havent played a Rogue for a while, but it used to be that a Rogue wanted the fastest weapon he could get in his off-hand. I am currently level 70, just earned the 18000 rep I need to get a dagger and just respect 41/7/13 (Mutilate). I am carrying a sword in the off-had at the moment and want to make sure I get the right off-hand dagger. I see two that I can choose from: the High Warlord Shanker 1.8 dps with a range of 103-255. The other one is the High Warlord Shiv 1.4 dps with range of 80-120. I am thinking I should go with the High Warlord Shiv for off-hand. Would someone confirm that please or is there something better?

As mutilate, you want a slow offhand. You essentially have two main hand weapons with that spec.
It's also 1.8 and 1.4 speed, not DPS. DPS is Damage Per Second, and 1.8 is about on par with a level 1 gray item.

Thanks Nooblestick. Wow, I am glad I asked. 18000 rep "aint" easy. Sorry about the mistak. They are 71.8 dps.

To be honest, I'd try to get something from a 5 man weapon wise... and save those points for a piece of the set gear or a non-set epic. I made the mistake of buying a weapon with some points I had saved from 60 when I hit 70... waste of 22k honor IMHO.

buy armor with your PVP points. go to the AH and get something like Ced's Carver for 90g. Very similar stats to HW shanker.
