Then you probably spent too much of the game just doing what other people told you to rather than figuring out how things work on your own. Just play. Learn from your experience. Respec your talents around as you feel is necessary, and more importantly, strive for better gear to make up for you deficiencies. Beyond that, if you're just a terrible Pally player at level 70... I really don't know what to tell you.

With outlands quest gear giving you lots of spell damage plate you should have two distinct sets, one focused on healing for groups, the other on spell damage for soloing.

Would help if you linked your armory so we could see what you have equiped for pve gear as well as for your talents. 41/20 just gives us a general idea. I think I logged out in my pve gear (not fully spell damage yet) if you want to see what I have just click the sig.

Just run around and solo various mobs and quests. With my gear and experience I can easily solo most level 70 elite quests that require 2 or sometimes 3. Hell, as a paladin you can solo the entire dimensius chain which requires 5 people at the end!!

Netherstorm and shadowmoon valley would be where I'd go to practice. Throw up your DND tag and go at it. Ignore all requests for groups, dungeons, etc. until you are confident in your play style and abilities as a paladin.

When soloing (I use ret aura) my general mode of attack is Judgement of Wisdom -> Seal of Vengeance -> Consecrate (Max Rank) -> Seal of the Illidari (quest item) -> Holy Shock -> Judgement of Vengeance at 5 stacks -> Seal of Wisdom and always stunning as needed. By the time I put that second seal of light up my Hammer of Justice can be used but due to the dot ticks I find it better to use SoW and just flash heal twice at the end of the fight. Generally finish the fight with 80% health and 90% mana.

Paladin DPS might not be the uber-leet like a mage or rogue soloing, but we can do just fine on our own. A lot of that depends on your playstyle and what weapons/gear you carrying for soloing? In my bags at all times are my healing set (+healing, +int), my soloing set (more strength and spell damage), and my off-tank set (+stam/def) and I tend to go back and forth between the sword and board and a slow 2h depending on what the situation dictates. When using the S and B, judging wisdom (or Light) like Malk suggests will keep you topped off and you can add a little more damage with SoR/SoC/SoV etc or you can use the old JotC and SoR trick with your big 2h for some nice big numbers.

And if you're having issues with your warrior pest, try dueling some buddies to learn a few tricks of tricks of the trade. Best way to study a class is to take them head-on and duels are a great way to figure out what works and what doesn't. Just some thoughts.
