Hiya guys,

I've recently respeced to Restro to try and provide better healing in PVP and Instances. You can checkout my profile here: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&n=Twaddle

I know I don't have the best gear and plan on working to change that, but what I'm trying to figure out now is some good Restro druid healing techniques.

I recently tried to heal Steam Vaults and while I was just fine clearing the trash, when we hit the first Boss I was much less effective.

The AoE lightning kept ******** up my healing and it seemed I had to choose whether to take dmg from it and heal, or run to get out of it while letting some party member die. (And unfortunately taking dmg from it left me mostly if not totally dead and the next round would kill me)
After the second wipe because my healing I was politely booted from the group (Don't blame them) and replaced.

We had the following in our party:

Mage
Mage
Hunter
Warrior
Me

All 70 of course. When we were facing that particular boss they had said they were going to kill the first elemental, then the second, then the boss. The warrior was tanking em all while the Mages/Hunter was working on burning em down.

Any assistance, thoughts etc would be most appreciated!

Get out of the cloud. Make sure you keep at least rejuv & lifebloom up all the time (and regrowth if you can). This should give you some extra time to get out and still keep the tank up.

Well first things first you seem to be a little on the undergeared side.

+ Damage and Healing will never be as good as + Healing alone on a similar item, if you can get +healing past 800-900 then you will be set (easily done as you are almost there even with your +dmg and healing greens)

Some of the best advice I got was to stay feral and tank instances with my feral bear gear (I have a lot of this because i have always been feral) until I get better gear. Adapt this to whatever spec you have the most/best gear for (DPS will be difficult in a PUG to be allowed to do) and also don't forget that you will always know your leveling spec the best because you spent the most time in it (the good thing is that this spec should also be good for questing, and lots of gold for enchants and some worthwhile gear comes from quests). Do this until you are around the desired +healing and then go restoration, you will notice the difference immediately.

As far as healing tactics go, Lifebloom is your friend because of the end bonus, worthwhile to keep on a tank. Rejuv is great for keeping people topped off when bosses could start a cleave/aoe. Use Healing Touch when you need to, but downrank when you can to preserve mana, and finally Nature's Swiftness and Tranquility are your Oh Shi..! buttons for when everything is going wrong and you need to pull people from the brink.
