The Shaman Endgame - and - PVPingFollow

I hit 70 (finally) last week on my main. Woot!

In the PVP aspect of things, I love being elemental, and I look forward to the arena and battlegrounds in general. For PVE, I look forward to being a causal raider, and I only need one more key fragment for Kara. My guild is cool with me staying Ele, which is nice, as well.

Here are some endgame shaman questions I have - that I kinda need answered, because I'm confused, quite honestly.

(1) I will be PVP'ing - Arena, Battlegrounds, etc. alot with this toon now that he's 70. What do I do with the marks and honor points I attain? What I am saving for? I was in the Hall of Legends last night looking at some stuff, but it all seems dated. Nothing really made me say, "oh damn." Is this the pre-TBC stuff that was for sale? What is my "PVP goal" outside of pwning teh noob alliance? (Sorry for the l33t speak.) :)

(2) Considerate of the fact that this toon will now be more of a PVP'er than a PVE'er, is there a preferred "elemental" PVP build? Yes, I could "trial and error" myself, but let's face it - I'm not rich. (And as a casual player, I don't want to farm money to pay for constant respec'ing fees.)

(3) If I choose an elemental PVP build, does that create a liability for my guild if I go into Kara with them? Is it all or nothing as far as endgame PVE / PVP?

(4) What gear is better: raiding PVE gear, or the gear I could attain from PVPing?

(5a) Let's say I'm looking to fill up my 2v2 and 3v3 arena spots... what's the best way to do that?

(5b) Having never fought in an Arena match yet - can you describe some pointers for an elemental shaman?

(6) Oh, and why does Lightning Overlord suck so much? GG Blizz.

FIGHTING AS AN ELEMENTAL SHAMAN: I seemed to get royally raped by Warlocks (in general) and Rogues (when they initiate). Any suggestions? I suppose things will get easier when I start getting nicer gear + enchants, but I just don't see it yet.
