Is it true that your weapon skill (skill with the weapon currently equipped) affects your critical strike rating while shifted?

I know that your critical strike rating increases when you're shifted out the higher your skill is with the equipped weapon, but does it follow you over into your animal forms?

Or does it automatically max out because of the feral skill thing?

your weapon skill lvl has absoluteley nothing to do with you when you are in bear/cat form...in these forms your "claw" weapon skill lvl is always maxed out no mater what lvl your weapon skills are.

Related to this, do weapons with adds to critical strike percentages work in shifted forms? Does every weapon status other than 'to hit' work in shifted forms?

yup every other weapon affect except chance on hit works in druid forms (+ stats, crit percentage, that sorta thing)

Chance on hit works in Tree of Life and Moonkin forms, which make weapon skill effective in those forms. I can only find a few reasons to staff/mace/dagger something.
