This is the level 70 Resto build that Im going for.

I will not be raiding and rarely grouping. Only healing guild members as needed through lower level instances for quite a long time until they reach 70.

I rarely if ever use chain heal, so I did not put points into it. And I guess what im asking here is totemic focus worth the 5 points? I could take it out of the enchancement tree and stick it to the totemic focus, but I really do not want too. I feel my mana pool is restricted enough already.

So what do you guys think?

Put at least one point into Imp Chain Heal. It's really really good. In fact rank 1 Chain Heal is our most effecient spell. In fact, if you are going to be healing lower level instances you'd be better off putting ES and only using rank 1 chain heal to heal entire instances. You'll never go below 70% mana!

I prefer the 25% reduction to my totems over 5% reduction in my healing spells. It's just a personal preference though.

Good luck.

/agree

It's a good choice. I am on the same boat with the totems also. Better choice.

I took -5% healing spells instead of -25% totems. I figure that while healing and almost OOM (when you need your mana discount talents most), I'll be saving mana for heals as opposed to refreshing totems. It's definitely a personal preference though, at least for my playstyle: the math is just about even for me between the two talents in PvE.

I did want to add though, that totemic call refunds mana according to the base cost of the totems without talents... so 5/5 totemic focus adds a nice little bonus to totemic call's net mana gain--about 33% instead of 25%.

If you plan on endgame raiding, Imp Chain heal is a must! I find I use CH more than any other heal. HW is too slow and LHW is great, but hits only one target.

I was on raid heal for Doomwalker. CH got a workout!!

Grizz

p.s. I find my build works very well as it is heavy PvE. Check it out if ya want.

I do not plan on end-game raiding at all. I dont have the time.
I do plan on running end-game 5 mans and the like... I plan on being a main-healer through them, unless the group is fortunate to find one... Generally I end up main healing to this point.

I never use chain heal. I dont know why, I assume its only because generally im only healing one target... Lately it seems that I have been healing only me and my tank (2 people total). Since I havent been grouping much with others lately.

I dont know if I like your build Grizzleox, I love natures guardian.
It has saved my butt more times than I can count.

Also I enjoy my silence resist and also my reincarnation to be on the lowest timer possible.

Now, I see your point to saying this... It makes sense! Although, I never use totemic call unless Im out of combat or accidentally drop the wrong totem.
Considering 90% of the time, I use it out of combat, to me it seems that my points are better used elsewhere. Because, I can drink one more sip of my water. Or even better yet, my mana regen is high enough that little spec of mana regained after a fight is hardly noticable.

The point of those talent points are to basically decrease the amount of mana you pay for your totems. Considering, IM not doing raiding, I rarely have to refresh totems. I drop them, we fight for more/less than 30 seconds, I recall them and I drink water...

I just guess I see more use to have my actually healing spells being cheaper in times of need, rather than getting more mana back after casting totems.
