#1 May 14 2007 at 4:49 PM Rating: Decent
hi, me and my friend are haveing a debate about our mains. i play a restoration shaman (level 37) and he plays a feral druid (level 37). he is always bragging about how he can solo 42s and how he gets like 2000 crit heals and it really pisses me off when he says he can do something better than me when im specced for it (like healing) so can someone please tell me what shamans have over druids please? because right now i feel like im waisting my time with my character.

thanx

Unless he's got a healing kit that he's using to get those 2000 crit heals, he's not telling you the truth. I have a level 40 druid (balance specced) and if I remember rightly, my crit heals are around 1000-1200.

Even so, at 37 I think it would be nigh impossible to have enough +healing to get crit heals of 2000, but maybe I'm wrong.

As to advantages, shamans can do everything they do all the time, whereas druids have to shift forms. They have to switch out of kitty. moonkin or bear form to heal, becoming extra squishy (you have a shield, and at 40 you'll get mail...druids just have leather). Earth Shield is rather awesome once you get that. You have totems, and can buff groups rather well, druids just have thorns and MotW (which, while nice, aren't as good as totems).

And, of course, you have windfury, which is just awesome :)
