Gouge and pvpFollow

#1 May 13 2007 at 7:02 AM Rating: Decent
When I'm dueling or fighting someone in world pvp I'll use gouge often. My question is when I use gouge twice when fighting the same target the second gouge often lasts for only a fraction of the time the first one did. In other words, the first gouge lasts a good 5 seconds and the second gouge will last maybe 1 second. Anyone else ever notice this? If yes, does anyone know why this happens?

Thanks

Never done any pvp worth talking about, but I have heard of something called 'diminishing returns' applied to stun moves. Essentially, the more often you use a stun move on a target, the less it will affect him. Unless I'm completely mistaken, there is 0 benefit after the third application. This applies to Sap, Cheap Shot, Kidney Shot and other stun/incap moves.

Someone who's actually been in a BG longer than 30 minutes can prolly tell you more :o)

Diminishing Return works like this:

1st time = 100%
2nd Time = 50%
3rd Time = 25%
4th Time and up = Immune

DR is reset if the target is unnaffected by this kind of CC for 15 seconds and/or if it leaves combat.

So using Gouge twice in a row isn't so smart.
