Frost mage gear Follow

#1 May 10 2007 at 11:13 PM Rating: Decent
Hello I am new to world of warcraft and this forum, and I would like to request some advice about my main Alath on Malnorne. What is the best gear for my lv? Shoul i focus on Int or spell dmg? I recently resepeced again to a Aoe spec and i have been successfully grinding as a blizzard beast.

Here is the link to my chacater
http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/?#character-sheet.xml?r=Malorne&n=Alath

Thank you in advance for the advice.

I am succesfully enjoying my 2nd month of starting this rpg.

For AoE, you want Int/Sta.

After about 55 or so, non-AoE specs will want +dmg/crit mostly, though Int/Sta/Spi will still be useful.

AoE specs will still want Int/Sta mostly.

You in need of some stroking of your ego? You have an epic and a bunch of nice blues. Your gear is fine.

No i got the epic after The post in the past 24 hours. After Scholar's advice I searched and bought some good equips. SOrry if I came off as arogant.

Unless you are twinking for a PvP bracket, or if you find you are dying a lot, don't even worry about gear until you hit level 70. Just pick up any upgrades if they become available. You don't need to go out of your way to get the "best" gear for your level until end-game.

Of course, that is only from a "I want to get to level 70 asap" point-of-view. In general, I do recommend that you take some time to enjoy the game. Running instances and getting nice upgrades is a fun part of the game IMO. A part that I miss sometimes since I only do PvP these days.

You don't need to buy better gear, but it is kind of fun (if you have some money and helpful friends).

Better stats reduce downtime, make you less likely to die/corpse-run back, and make soloing difficult areas easier. Or you can die the same amount against harder enemies - my 36 frost mage has soloed level 42 mobs, and the level 40 elite demon from Tabetha's mage quest. I used some of my long CDs and trinkets each time, but it's the kill that counts, right?
