Should I do a pet post?Follow

I've done a lot of research and questioning about pets, so I was wondering if any of y'all think I should make a post about pets sort of like Theo's PvP thread, to be linked in my sig and to provide information on what pets work in different situations better (i.e. PvP, DPS, solo), how to choose between different pet skills (like nat armor vs great stam, claw vs gore, bite vs claw/gore). So, who thinks I should do this, or would it be a waste of my time?

that would be great! I think you should give it a go!

I know I'd personally be interested in reading an up-to-date guide on those things..the only ones I can find are from the days of MC..prehistoric for all intensive purposes. ^^

I think this is a great idea. It might help tone down the non stop pet questions i see on these forum.

So i say go for it!

I dont think it would tone them down. I think it would be more of an answer to those willing to do some research, but who may need to prodded a bit. It will also promote discussion within the thread. But for the most part...uh no it won't help cut them down any more than the stickies did (no offense to Azzuarc for the stickies...just the idiots who dont read them).

If we loaded up the entire front page with stickies, I bet they would read them after they went, "wer did my new thred go???"

Chuucky by "combine" you mean, you add it to your post, put your name on it, and ask I be removed from the forum? Just from what I've seen already, but that's the way I've seen your operations.

Okay, I'm starting on it. Blew through the basics (boom-boom-boom version of half the sticky...less explanation more "know this, move on") I should have the beta version up some time this weekend, I'll post it then.

I hope this is not a response to Chuucky, it seems you are the number one opponent to Chuucky. Do it because you want to. I say go for it, as long as it is CORRECT, LAID OUT WELL, and EASY TO READ. I suggest doing it up in Word or whatever typing program you perfer and then copy and paste. You may have already thought of that, just a little suggestion. I look forward reading it.

Make sure one of the stickies is actually labelled "Uhm, where did my new thread go", ensure it is always somewhere at the middle of the page, and then reference it in about half of the other stickies.

Actually, in a sense, it is. The point was for it TO be correct, laid out well, and easy to read, 3 qualities he was lacking. I was planning on doing this for a while, Chuucky just gave me the motivation to start it.

All-in-all, if you can achieve those 3 critirion than do it. Maybe it will cut the pet questions down that have been answered and the ones everyone already knows. Good luck.

By all means, please share your well earned knowledge. Take the chance to spread the seeds of helpful advice to the noobs of the world. Maybe in the future we combine our two efforts.

Looks like you got a fan skribs ^.^

Anyway, I say go for it, but don't make it a copy of petopia all in one page [e.g. Like Chuucky's guide, no offense Chuucky but you're the only example I can think off.]

From what you say, it seems pretty good. I say go for it! With all these new guides poping up I think I just might make that "How to Make a Good Post: A Step-By-Step Guide."

And...

Why do people say gore is better than claw?
Why is X pet unloved? (i.e. raptor/hyena)
What will we do with only one square of toilet paper?

Actually seeing as I already know the best pet (FYI it's my black wolf. Not black wolves in general mind. Just mine) I'd get far more out of a jumpshot guide than a pet guide.

Click Autorun, jump and spin 90 degrees using the mouse, click an instant shot and then turn back forward again before you land. (This is actually the "strafe shot" version, but it's more effective).
