The reason I posted here is because I am a leatherworker trying to find out what a Rogues looks for in gear . A fellow guildie just hit 50 so I figured I'd set him up with Wicked leather armor line ( stats are + on agi and stam .) I made the Wicked Leather Armor (chest) , gauntlets , headband ( also the Helm Of Fire ), leggings , bracers and belt to give to him .
After a few minutes of discussion he realises that all along he has been setting his toon up with Agi and Str stats and that maybe that has been the wrong choice . Maybe agi. and stam. would be better .
I really have no clue but am curious to know what Rogues really want as far as stats in armor .
Also I can make him the stormshroud pants and shoulders aswell . How do rogues feel about those ?

Rogues definitely want Agility & Stamina. Agility affects our Armor, AP and Crit%, Stamina of course is HP.
Agility and Stamina are a rogue's primary stats. Other than that, +AP is nice
(especially for combat builds), +crit is good (better for certain builds like mutilate), and even Strength is useful (it adds to AP, but not to dodge, crit, and armor like Agility).
Wicked leather is a great set for rogues. Keep an eye out for the Thick Draenic set as well, once you hit 300 (and somehow get to Shattrath).

LAter on, +hit (for PvE) to +AP, you won't find many sets with massive +Agi.

Yeah, I had a similiar thing with a rogue in my guild - turns out he had a penchant for taking STR over STAM. We played about with some figures, this is kinda the result.
1 Str = 1 AP
1 Agi = 1 AP, 0.04% crit rate, some dodge, some armour
Therefore, 1 agi > 1 str.
I think 1 stam means 10 hit points, I may be wrong on that.

Make him the stormshroud set. Its hot like wasabi. The Recepies are hard to get ahold of, but every piece is great for Rogue.
Devilsaur and Stormshroud will be the stuff you want for the 50-60 range.
The devilsaur patterns are easier to get, and so are the mats (IMO).
Both of these used to require LW specialization, but since the expansion you don't need to specialize to make them.

Ok make Devilsaur, not Stormshroud. If you want to know why, just ask. I already mentioned the reasons in a thread a while back.
