Disclamer: skip to the bottom if you just wanna get to the question. :)
Since BC came out, I seem to have come down with a case of the rerolls. Prior to the expansion I had 3 60 'locks (the first one dating back to before their talent review). It was fun until the end, when all I found myself doing was hitting the same four buttons over and over.
So with the expansion I tried a Paladin, got him to 63. I enjoyed healing but I wanted more out of my role. Then my motherboard fried, and when I finally got back, decided I really didn't want to pick him up again and took a short break, trying out several different classes including Shaman, Rogue, Hunter & Mage.
With the exception of perhaps the Shaman (maybe not) I thought back to my 'locks as I leveled up the 3 latter classes and considered what I'd be doing for most of my end-game career and questioned my decision.
Early in my days of WoW, I was turned off from priests because I'd kept hearing all they did was stare at health bars the entire time in a group/raid. I see this has changed a bit (though I would need someone to correct me if I am wrong since I haven't kept up on their issues all that much).
While I understand *every* class basically ends up hitting the same four buttons, I'm just wondering if there is any mentionable variation to the role of a priest now in group settings? I'd rather hit the same eight, than the same four. :P
