I was browsing the pally forum and someone linked to http://www.wowwiki.com/Spell_Damage_Coefficients

Cannot remember the last time I used starshards but now that I'm getting alot of damage gear perhaps I should utilize it more due to its 171% coefficient.

With my improved shield it would seem I could get 6 seconds cast off without issue.

Any nelf priests out there using this b/c of these reasons and how is it working for you?

I'm using it, and... its okay. The thing about those damage coefficients that you have to remember is that they're just normalization (except for things like Mind Flay). So 6 seconds of casting is 6 seconds of casting. It is 6 very cheap seconds of casting though. Overall, I have to say that it's better than wanding, but I don't use it often.

If you're shadow, obv, don't.

I've used it the last few days. It's useful for me as Discipline spec because my shield easily lasts though mob beatings to spell completion.

I never used it with any effectiveness when I was shadow or holy spec though.
