well i created a mage for an alt character and and i leveled him up to lv 19 and i was wondering how do i survive in PVP. I cant seem to kill n e one and i die fast.
Want some help on how to begin a fight and what to cast, im spccd in fire, thanks.

Hi mate! I've also got a Mage around those levels, and I tried PvP at 19 and didn't do very well at all.
The most people in 10-19 BGs are usually Warrior, Rogue or Hunter twinks. Those are the three classes who do best in the 19 bracket. The problem with mages at that level is that they haven't got their best abilities yet (as with any class, really).
When you hit 20, you get Blink, Evocation, Mana Shield and other such goodies:) My advice to you is to keep leveling and try the 29 bracket, you'll do much better there.

A mage need to be fast, no slacking or whatsoever. Keep your main spells key-binded and you need to think clear with every fight you aproach. Know your enemy's, know their weaknesses and strenghts and your good to go. A mage is one of the hardest classes to play in pvp especcially if you are fire because you die in an instant if they get to you, I suggest respec frost in the beginning because its more safer and you have more survivability.
