Is there a happy medium in using both Opp and DW?Follow

Just a question for any number crunching monkeys out there, but does anyone think it would be viable to have a mutilate spec that had points in both Dual Wield Spec. and Opportunity? May be have 3 points in one and then 2 in the other, and then come out with higher damage than having 5 in either one of them. Just a idea I had with too much time to think.

You were thinking of a spec like this right?

That's a good question, I haven't looked into that yet, but hopefully one of the gurus here has:)

If not you can try 'Foreshadow's sustained and burst rogue DPS calculator' at http://pvp.net.tf/ and plug in the #s and see which is theoretically better.

Checked some #s myself, just used my current spec minus sinister calling and deadliness for agi and ap #s. Mut with 5/5 in DW is 1.7% more dam than 4/5 DW and 1/5 Opp. 3.5% better than 3/5 Dw, 2/5 Opp. At 0/5 DW and 5/5 Opp the difference is 8.8%. Also checked DW vs dagger spec and the #s are nearly identical. Basically if you are mut spec for pve you should have 5/5 in DW, no question.
