Is blessing of Kings really worth the talent point? I'm a full Prot pally and I thought one of the benefits would be having BoK. However, when I'm soloing I much prefer Blessing of Wisdom which allows me to grind faster. Then when I get into instances I find Wisdom or Salvation more useful for casters while Might is the best choice for melee classes.

The only time I ever use Kings is when there are two pallies in the group and we cross bless our party. But even then if it is a caster we cross bless with Wisdom and Salvation. So the only time I use it is in a party situation to cross bless a melee class with Might/Kings.

Is Kings is even worth it if I use it this little? I feel that the talent point could be better used elsewhere.

Yes, easily. First off there are situations where salv and wisdom aren't as useful as kings (say you have a dark pact warlock and are fighting murmur), second are you planning to be the only paladin in every group for the entire rest of your character's career? If so, then maybe you have a case for not taking it. If you ever plan on doing a raid or ever are in a party at all with 2 paladins, then quite frequently kings is the 2nd buff cast. I honestly use all of my blessings on a frequent basis, and I'm specced to maximize the benefit of each. Then again I'm in a guild that is now spending more time in 25-man raids than anything else, so maybe I'm the oddball.

In the groups ive been in.. it seems that the melee love kings more than might. They get moire hit points and still almost as much attack power, alos more crit chance... pretty much more everything :)

Yeah, kings is amazing, I think I'm addicted to it, I use it on everyone, unless they ask for something else ( usually they don't). It's awesome :D

I have to disagree. Kings is not omfgwtfpwn. Typically players could use better spells. I myself usually use Sanctuary when I'm Prot-grinding, and ESPECIALLY when I'm tanking. More holy damage = more threat. Plus it's got a tiny bit of mitigation too, which never hurts.

Blessing of Kings is just alright. Some people enjoy it. I would never suggest going into Prot simply for kings, but if you're going all into prot anyways, go ahead and get it.

Sanctuary is nice for regular 5 mans, but for heroics/raids, use kings. Kings gives me 800 extra hp (over 1k if I also carry all the other buffs). I receive plenty of healing to go all out on aggro skills and don't need Sanctuary for that. The mitigation from sanctuary on heroics is pitiful, especially since it applies before armor reduction.

When there are 2 paladins, the 2nd buff on practically everyone is Kings.

If you're the only paladin and not the main healer, put either kings or sanctuary on the tank.

It's good to have and people seem to like it, but you can get by just fine without it if need be. Great for when there are two pallies or if the tank prefers the stamina boost over the healing bonus. I like having it in my bag of tricks, but that's just personal preference.

I have Kings because I love to raid, and Pallies that have Kings just have a better chance of getting in.

Also, Druids and Shamans love Kings.

Druids love kings when tanking, wisdom when healing, might when DPSing as cat, salvation when DPSing as moonkin.

Shamans have no aggro control. The love wisdom when healing, salvation when DPSing.

Last night I was doing an instance being a completly holy Paladin and one of my party asked me for BoK. I didn't have it and he started questioning me why I didn't have it.

Soon after I began to question myself why I didn't have it, I have to agree with those of you that have said it is worth the 11 points into the Prot tree. The more blessings you have the better you will be, you will be able to give players the blessings they want when they want. I was almost ashamed to have said to the player who wanted BoK that I hadn't bothered to get it.

Once I had spent those 11 points in the Prot tree I still had enough points to go back into the holy tree and make my Paladin as good as he was before, I took a slightly different route than I previously had and when I went into AV I was healing better than I ever had before!

It is not worth the 11 points. If you're already into prot, then yes, it's worth the 1 point, don't go without it.

If you're 41/0/20 or something, don't spec prot, just for kings.
