I have a Subtlety build and trying to weight dualing Mongoose against putting Mongoose on one weapon and +15 agil on the other. I've read a lot of posts regarding this topic, but no one has explained their reasoning. I'm leaning towards +15 agil on one because of the bonuses from Deadliness and Sinister Calling, but I want opinions with explainations. I've also read posts saying that putting Mongoose on an offhand is a waste which I don't understand. If I go 1 and 1, which weapon should have which? Thanks.
Any "proc on hit" enchants should be on mainhand. Reason behind that is that u have more hits with mainhand (lower chance to miss) and an enchant in mh procs more often than in oh in general (so i've heard... not sure about the 2nd part. however, using fiery in mh procs more often for me than in oh so i think its kinda correct).
Does Sinister Calling add on the 120 (?) agi added of mongoose too? If not, I'd surely go for mong - 15 agi. Otherwhise dual wielding mongoose could be a.. very interresting option

Thank you. I did not know that the MH hit more often. That makes complete sense.
The hit rate on auto attacks is the same thing for both hands. The reason proc based enchants go off in your MH more is because they also proc from instant attacks which are generally (other than mutilate) MH only. That's also why your poison stack generally runs out faster on your MH than your OH...
To the question regarding how sinister calling effects the 120 agi - essentially a full sub spec rogue gets 138 agi when mongoose procs, making it even more potent.
As to mongoose on oh, it's fine. It procs all the time and during raids when I have SnD up 90% of the time, the buff is up alot, not sure exactly but I would say it procs every 30-40sec if not more with SnD up. I use it on my oh as I hope to upgrade my mh soon and didn't want to spend the gold 3 times for the enchant.

I would dual-wield Mongoose.
It's just worth more in terms of AEP than +15 Agi.
At the moment, I dual wield +15, but that's because my daggers still aren't quite good enough for Mongoose, and because I'm an enchanter and can do +15 Agi, but not Mongoose.
I chuckle when i see Rogues dual-wielding Crusader, because +15 Agi is better at 70, then Mongoose is better still. (Although, to be fair, some rogues wield Crusader because they can get the mats cheaper than +15).
