Mutilate build for PvE and PvPFollow

I haven't PvP'd much since leaving Azeroth for the Outlands, but now that I've gotten to 70, I'm starting to miss it. I've been talking with a couple of friends (a warlock and a mage in particular) about starting an arena team (2v2 and/or 3v3) just for something to do when we can't run 5 mans.

I'm still mostly interested in PvE content, but I'd like to try the arena out for a bit and still be able to be effective in the PvE content without having to respec. I'm thinking that a mutilate build gives me the most flexibility here. I was considering a build like this.

I was hoping to get some opinions on this, but having no arena experience, I'm not sure if the points I've spent in Camo would be better spent in Improved Gouge, etc. All opinions are welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Camel

ok so i have only done mock arena's and since everytime you join one all your cooldowns are finished i think subtelty is best since arena seems to be all about getting one enemy down asap...any way my point is that u go in use premedatation the preperation then premed again on same target...shadowstep then KS so they will be out for 6 seconds and u will have only used a little amount of energy allowing u to BS and sinister strike probably killing that person very quickly. SO maybe try out this build....but if ure set on mutilate then don't bother with it. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?3053031040000000000000000000000000000000000003502031330321013501051

Any build can do well in 2v2 and 3v3. If you want to do well in pve (I'm assuming heroics/raiding here) as well, you're pretty much limiting yourself to any of the mut builds and combat. Shadowstep, which excels in 2v2 and is pretty good in 3v3, doesn't have the sustained damage to compete for pve dps. Neither does hemo. Combat builds, 16/41/0 (+4), and combat mut, 41/20, all do very well in pve and lose nothing in the arena. Combat swords/fists/maces doesn't have to worry about position, which really helps when snared (perma-frost trap in the arena ftl), CCed, or focus fired. Opp mut builds do worse in pve, but some prefer them because they allow you to pick up a few utility talents in sub. Opp mut only does around 1-2% more mutilate damage than combat mut builds, but has much lower white damage so it quickly falls behind in pve.

Thanks for the replies guys. Since I'm only going to be doing arena's on the side as a break from PvE, I'm not willing to give up my PvE utility and go full Sub.

One thing that I forgot to mention in my original post is that this is intended to be a post 2.1.0 build, in which we will be getting improved sap for free.

I'll probably give the build I posted a shot and compare it to a 41/20 build to see which allows me to perform better.

If anyone else has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

Thanks.
