need I say more? You need good damage equipment for this build. It is good for both PvP and PvE

this is the Ultimate Hybrid and depending on the gear ... you can create something Indestructibale!

I've tried this build (or something close to it). It's not bad as a DPS build but not great. Your hybrid abilities will be mediocre, especially in cat form (bear is a bit better if you have big armor). But you're not good enough to main tank in it (not enough threat), not good enough to DPS in cat form, and you'll be only "ok" as a BOOMkin (though with good gear you'll be fine).

And you'll be a sucky healer, which is something everyone needs.

That said, it's fun to play as you don't have to practically give up your feral builds like I do with my balance/resto spec.

First of all, grats on stealing an already posted build, which happens to still be on the main page...
Perhaps it wasn't intentional, but meh, just thought it had to be mentioned...

And, umm, as for feeding I pretty agree with what pjbairdct said. While you can do many things, you cannot do them well enough to get something like a raid spot, unless your guild leader is really open-minded.

Nothing more needs to be said. Sure, you can jump in any offensive role, but you have no healing tools, save perhaps a set of healing gear but nothing to reduce cost or cast time. =/

Limited build IMO. I know Frequency disagreed with me in the other thread but I think this can of build would suffer much in PvP. No boost to healing abilities hurts. Then you'll be spending lots of mana shifting between forms. Blizz still needs to do something about this because it kinda prevents us from being hardcore shapeshifters.

Add to that the fact that you cannot change armor while in combat, and you've got a Moonkin stuck with Feral stats, or vice versa. And you're missing key talents that make up a huge part of a build's DPS. (Wrath of Cenarius, Mangle, LotP) All in all, might be fun to toy with but I wouldn't consider this viable. =/

My Moonkin is level 48 at the moment, but even with 223 Intellect and the 23/MP5 that gives me from talents, I still go OOM if I don't want to lag on the damage meters. I would absolutely die in this regard without a constant supply of water from my Mage friend. Now, if I want to be frugal, then yes, I can stretch my mana for quite some time and still do respectable DPS, but going OOM is still the most pressing issue for me at the moment. I would be in trouble in PvP fights as well if I didn't have Innervate.

I think the point is to do decent DPS in moonkin, then switch to cat form when almost OOM so you can regen the mana. But...why not just go feral then, and DPS the whole time in cat form?

I don't really like the Balance/Feral build. As a balance druid you will often have to heal so i like the Balance/Resto build more.

True to the last bit but there comes another thing +> not everyone likes healing and I said pVP and PvE not Raiding. For raids you are either tanking or catting or healing. People dont like moonkins. Anyways, sorry if I stole this post build but like many, I dont read all the threads.

This build...I tried it in Karazhan las night, worked like a charm along with the other moonkin, who was balance/resto... made me 9.6k mana and good old 8k armor. I did some really good crits with some not so good equipment but a starfire 3543 dmg is still considered good.

Alas you are right... but being a Hybrid means to have many roles even if you don't do them as well as other people.

Anyways, its better to be 48-0-13. Has a ring to it and the mana regeneration is good. I have 225 mana regen per 5 sec and i think it works like a charm. my build now is actually 46-0-15 because I do get oom ^^ and hit things to get free spell casts. Omen of clarity isnt too useful but its ok. Im still open to try some new build but mainly I preffer the majority of points to stay in the balance tree.

Ive played feral... and discovered its not my thing. I feel you are playing with your druid fairly well but be open to strange builds. If people know how then everything they use will be as lethal as the ordinary.
