PvP> When to cs and when to just ambush away?Follow

Alright so.. I'll be bging for some rewards soon again :)

Now.. My questions is: On which classes should I try to really stunlock them and on which classes I should just ambush away?

My experience till now is that mages are just gay. Ambush there for sure imo, nerf blink plx. However, on the rest im not kinda sure. It's always nice to drop a target fast, but stunlock is safer as long as it lasts.

Suggestions?

If someone is sitting down, Ambush.

If they are <50% HP, ambush.

If they are wearing plate, do not ambush unless they're even lower on HP.

Otherwise, cheap shot. Garrote on those high armor enemies if you feel so inclined.

Either way, thx for the answer, thats pretty much exactly the answer I was looking for =p

I would only cheap shot a mage if I saw him/her blink out of a stun and pop up right in front of me, in ANY other instance, I'd go for the ambush.

Cheap Shotting mages is not a bad thing anymore. If you cheap shot them they are basically forced to blink. If You ambush them they frost nova THEN blink. Alot of mages have blink on a "twitch" reflex too so yhou can just CS them and mutilate while still running through them. They'll still blink even though you've already gotten a head start and then you're about three inches out of range. This can be fixed easily with deadly throw, gouge, mutilate KS and they're done.

Especially with the Arena PvP gloves (Equip: Gives Deadly Throw an interrupt and three-second school lockout) Cheap Shotting mages is really not a terrible idea. Cheap Shot, they blink, run towards them and Deadly Throw their cast. Garroting is also a good choice if you're not using a dagger, as the three second Silence gives you some smackdown time on the caster.

Yeh with deadly throw and those gaunts (thanks btw for explaining what they do!) it might be a very good choice. now.. im level 36, ill pvp a lot on 39 again. Deadly throw is far away at that point lol. So ambush is the way to go till deadly throw + the gaunts.

Thanks ;)

I like garotte a lot on mages, as the 3 seconds give you time to hit a Mutilate + since they usually have lowl hp anyway (even the pvp ones), the extra dot hurts them a lot.

That being said, Cheap Shot isn't as bad as it used to be... and it's the best opener on a mage if he's somehow already used his blink.

I find that I use ambush less and less... hence why I don't have any point in subtility now.

As a Subly Build, i Ambush and then Vanish Shadowstep Ambush again if there not dead after the second Ambush then i Blind then Stealth and they eat the 3. i really never saw any Mage survived that. But thats vor Subly only..
