I've looked through this sites, as well as thottnot's, information on Tailoring and Jewelcrafting and both seem to have a lot of stuff that seems useful. I have yet to commit to any tradeskill on my Warlock so I figured I would ask people who actually got up high enough to know.

I'm the sort of player who almost never buys anything from the AH (I'm cheap, lol) unless it's materials for my own crafting, since I love to craft. So what I was wondering is, as you level and at end-game, which tradeskill gives you the most personal benefit? Jewelcrafting or Tailoring? I'll be running Affliction/Demonology if that makes any difference.

i would go tailoring, since it does not require a gathering profession, and unless you want to make money endgame or do Leather working/Blacksmithing, then i find gathering to be a waste of time and energy. Killing 10-15 mobs to get a vein of X ore sucks. I like tailoring because of all the sets you can make endgame. they are pretty god damn good.

Now i feel obligated to highlight the benefits of Jewelcrafting. The great thing about it is your ability to cut gems for socketed gear. and some of the rings/necklaces are O.K to good. but hey, whatever! you are gonna need mining, or a good amount of cash for this on though.

both require mats from other professions, which is just a big fat pain in the ***. just look up the endgame sets, see what floats your boat. And then learn tailoring. lol
