hey guys, im new to the forums...well, i been using this site for about a year now ever since i started playing but just never registered.
anyways, i been thinking and wondering what the best spec for a 39 twink rogue would be. right now, im considering full combat spec with sword specialization. i have all the gear i need and money is not an issue. i just need your help and input on what the best spec for 1v1 and duels. i consider myself a pretty skillful player.
i guess the bottom line is...dagger and sword or full combat swords?

I have a 39 BG rogue (embarassed to call her a twink because her gear is pretty "meh") and I was combat swords. It kicked serious ***.

really? thats good to hear. i been messing around with the spec on wowhead.com and it looks pretty good but i was just debating if it would be better to go assination or sub for backstab and ambushes. i hear it has really good burst dmg and burst is usually what wins for pvp. so how important is backstab and ambush for rogues?

well, i recommend the build in my link. Riposte is awesome for combat swords since you will be in peoples face more often.
Also maybe consider +15 agi on your OH instead of crusader. Your call on that though.
What I like about my sword spec is that you dont need a stealth opener to kick ***. Cheapshot > SS > Evis/KS. Great power against all targets, but you wont kill cloth as fast as a dagger rogue. Worth the tradeoff IMO.
Plus you can get just a nice slow dagger to swap out in your MH for when you want to ambush.
