I'm looking to get a gift for some friends.
One is a Mage, and was wondering how good these were? How long will they last? They are only raiding Kara now so how long would it take for them to replace these pieces?
blackstrike bracers(26 spell crit, 5mp5, b socket with a bonus of +2 d/h)
cloak of the black void(11 int, 35 damage and healing)
bracers of havoc(12 int, 30 damage and healing, y socket with a bonus of +2 crit)
gridle of ruination(18 sta, 13 int, 20 spell crit, 39 damage and healing, r/y sockets with a bonus of +4 sta)
- spellstrike hood(16 sta, 12 int, 16 hit, 24 crit, 46 damage and healing, r/y/r sockets with a bonus of +4 sta)

Anyway, these can be pretty much replaced fairly soon:
However these:
are awesome investments for any Mage especially at Karazhan level - and if your Mage friend is 350 tailoring they'll also get the special spellstrike bonus.
I'm working on the mats for girdle of ruination now and should have it by the end of this week :)

Well, I'm not sure just yet.
The Girdle/Ruination and Spellstrike pieces are pretty expensive. I might just get them some Riding Crops and 18 slot bags.
If I make my sister (mage) one of those epics, I'll want to make my other friend (priest) an epic too. So that could get pretty expensive.
