I'm looking to get a gift for some friends.

One is a Priest, and was wondering how good these were? How long will they last? They are only raiding Kara now so how long would it take for them to replace these pieces for a main healing priest?

white remedy cape(59 healing, 7mp5)

blackbelt of knowledge(18 intelect, 21 spirit, 11mp5, y/b sockets with a bonus of +3 d/h)

manaweave cloak(20 intelect, 21 spirit, 8mp5)

- whitemend hood(15 sta, 15 int, 79 healing, 11mp5, b/y/r sockets with a bonus of +4 int)
- whitemend pants(21 sta, 21 int, 62 healing, 11mp5, b/y/r sockets with a bonus of +4 int)
2set: inc healing by 10% of your intellect

Thanks for any help

give them gold instead!

if they are doing kara, even before, for the most part, unless their gear is REALLY OUT OF DATE, then buyign them BOE items arent going to be better. just get him gold or gems yah...or consumables!!!!

I think what you are proposing is very nice, but honestly the items you listed are probably not better than what they already have. They are pretty good, but I'm looking at my gear and thinking I prefer what I'm wearing over those and I haven't even received any of the kara gear yet (just collected from the 5 mans or from revered purchases at the quartermasters). I have another friend that is running her priest through kara now and they aren't even significantly along ... and she is getting much better gear.

If you have the same amount of money to invest in a in-game gift, perhaps you should buy the person really good gems to socket. That way they can either upgrade their current gems or have them to use when they DO get better gear from the kara runs.

Hope this helps.

That's an awesome idea!!

I was deciding between getting them some of these tailored epics, or buying them some riding crops and 18 slot bags..

but the Gem idea is really good, too. Thanks for that!

Lol.

Those things are WAY too expensive. Would cost a couple hundred just for one bag. Plus, I am only 340 tailoring and not even close to making them yet.

Lies. There is no better gear in Kara then Whitemend Wisdom. Either of those is much better than anything in Kara, Gruul's Lair, or Magtheredon.

This is especially true for me since I'm a tailor, but even without the absurd bonus they're amazing. Costly though (its probably about 1200G for either piece, including tailoring fee).

take care with whitemend. They need 350 tailoring to activate the set bonus (healing +10% of intelect). But i agree.. it's better than anything you can get pre tier 5(maybe even 6)

Or consider the following options:

1) If they are a tailor but dont yet have their primal mooncloth set, give them some netherweave stacks (for levelling up tailoring) and/or primal mooncloth. It takes about 800g to level up tailoring to get the set >.<

2) Give them mats for enchants. A lot of the healing enchants require massive amounts of primal life, primal water and large prismatic shards. Healing enchants can add up to +300 healing.
