Good Day everybody,

I had a thought, and would like some input on it. I know to be a protection pally it is obviously better to have a 1h weapon, now with reckoning it is better to have a faster weapon. Now has anyone tried a high dps dagger with there paladin, it was just a thought, Im not sure if it would work, thought I might give it a try to see how it works. Let me know what you think about this?

If I'm not mistaken, Paladin's can't use daggers. . .

Yea, I tried using a dagger, but it wouldn't let me equip it ;)

Serious - Paladins can use only 3 1H weapons: sword, mace, and axe.

Reckoning itself does not work better with a faster weapon. 2.0 or slower is the best thing for Reckoning.

For tanking, just get the Continuum Blade, and if possible, get into an arena group and gather points for the spell damage onehanded hammer that'll be introduced next patch.

Not to get off topic from the original question, but what's an ideal speed range for 1-handing it with reckoning?

2.00 sharp, though anything between 2.00 and 4.00 gives the same output for reckoning.

Anything under 2.00 reduces the duration of Reckoning. It's not that much of an effect, though, so go for that 1.80 Continuum Blade or the 1.60 Arena Gavel. They're totally worth it.
