you'll have alot less trouble killing the rogues with hard hitting spells and mediocure hp compared to having sh*t loads of hp and resiliance but hitting as hard as a wet fish.

PvE gear
--------
800-1k Spell damage
12-25% crit
7-8k HP
9-10k MP

PvP gear
--------
700-800 spell damage
8-15% crit
10-14k HP
6-8k MP
200-300 resil

LOL PvE gear is not for PvP

Well I find it incredibly easy to lock down a Demo lock.

1.5 sec is enough to banish your pet and half-***** you. Getting you and your pet dispelled hard can also ***** you up. Your DoT's are easily dispelled by the enemy healer/mage, so is fear. Getting shadow counterspelled is the worst *****-up ever...

Sure I am 1.5k health, 90 resilience, 30 armor and 100 spell damage under that Tiz guy, still, I'd be surprised if that made me do so much better.

Of course, your usefulness also depends on the rest of your team and I am afraid mine is pretty ****** so it should come as little surprise that I can get focus-killed easily, sigh (we don't even have a warrior, shaman or pally on our team, which I find quite pethetic but well... I ain't got anything better I'm afraid)

come the change to rogue pvp trinket my tactic (for a full destruction lock) would be:

get attacked by rogue
seduce rogue
run to max range (put CoS on at the same time)
Shadowbolt
Shadowfury (rogue stunned and the spell lands before Sbolt lands)
immolate + start recast on seduce
conflagorate
(seduce lands)
(shadowfury stun wears off)
wait till seduce is 3 seconds from wearing
Shadow bolt
deathcoil
immolate (start recharm)
conflagorate (if the start of the Shadowbolt isn't at the right time, conflagorate won't be up at the right time)
(charm lands)
Shadowbolt
Sfury
immolate
Sburn
(Sfury stun wears)

this is a full charm/stun/deathcoil lock during which time a rogue has 0% chance to get off CloLOL, granted the rogue is usually dead before i get to cast my deathcoil but if needed, i could pull off this whole spell order, after which IF the rogue is somehow still alive (a rogue with like 20k hp or something... lol) my tactic would be to run away till the DR(immune) is gone and then repeat as much of it as possible.

sadly vs undead rogues (like 99% of the horde rogues) the start of this lock might not be possible due to WotF. IMO it needs to be nerfed to not remove charm but oh well, blizzard loves horde. vs undead rogues i just need to keep my distance a bit more and maybe pop deathcoil early (about 2.5 seconds before wotf wears off, so i can start the charm/stun lock then)

hope this helps :)

to comment on buzz's comment about pve and pvp gear... well... for me

pve gear
800+damage
23% spell crit
7% spell hit
7.7k hp
8.4k mana
got all 3 spell haste items

pvp gear
same

how do i do in pvp? perfectly fine. i can dps my targets so hard and so fast that it doesn't matter if they have 15k hp, their damage towards me is pathetic and i hit to hard and to fast for them to beable to cope

The best defense against CloS is Limited Invulnerability Potions. Same cool down, apparently he doesnt have you stun locked, and gives you a few secs to get off a cast. Seeing how this came to be a build thread also, I would never go into a Arena with the Dest build. I just changed from full demo with inst corr and SB. I would die sometimes but I crumble now with 3 or more mobs in PvE. That lets me know one well placed shot and I am dead. Now for BG's I can see the benifit esp when they have the GY and we are all bunched up trying to get it back. An AoE stun and a few SoC's could turn that around. Much better than my current tactic of getting a priest to shield me then running in and HF them down til the shield wears off and I die. I am going to head to the arena soon and am def going back to my demo/ shadowburn build. It is great for farming, usually get about 100 kills in AV, and am a monster in PvP world. By no means am I an expert, and my gear is low crappy stuff but with a few pots in my pocket, I can own.

limited invunrability pots are being nerfed next patch, effectively they become useless (they reduce phsyical damage taken by 120 or something crap like that for 6 seconds instead).

if you want to use a pot to save your ***** either a "free action potion" or a "living action potion" will be the best choice now.
