A link to my build is in my sig. I plan on getting at least Honored with Honor Honor because the Cobrahide Leg Armor seems like it would help a sub-muti rogue such as myself.

But I'm only just now 59 and I'm not sure what factions I should be going for going forward. I know it's early but I like to plan my time of bloody deathdealing in advance.

I guess a subtopic might be is AP and Crit/Hit Rating a good focus for gear for a muti rogue?

That's more than one question and I apologize..but I think they're related enough for one topic.

Thanks!

Hi,

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=29192&locale=enUS;source=live

The item above is from Cenarion Expedition - Revered and is very nice for any rogue.

For other nice drops that also yields great reputation I think you should farm Black Morass.

The Keepers of Time have a nice dagger when you hit exalted, that's well worth working toward. When I say nice, I think a better word would be 'badass.' The Consortium also had a nice dagger for exalted, but I'm told that's about to be nerfed, a very sore topic for me really, spent 3 days farming rep with those fools.

That's about it for weapons, apart from maybe the Aldor-exalted sword and the Scryer-exalted dagger. There are better epic weapons, but these are an easy enough grind. You should also take a look at the different shoulder-slot enchants from these two factions.

I wouldn't look many places for actual armour - you can equip yourself better with quest rewards and instance drops.

I'm seeing you're a leatherworker? The armoury link never seems to work for me. Honoured with Honor Hold is easy enough - you should hit that before leaving the area, probably. The exalted-level leg armour may also be a little something nice for yourself too. The Cenarion head-slot glyph is also probably the best available, until you start feeling the need for some element-resistance gear.

yeah, I'd just level up till you get to 69-70, theres really nothing worth working for behind that. In quests do the Ring of Blood line with a grp of 5 in Nagrand, gets you a nice dagger. After you get 70 and if your in a good guild the Arena weps (88 dps), CoT dagger (81 dps) and you choice betweeen aldor and scryer getting you a sword or dagger (easiest out of 3) that are 79 dps. Unless you get into heavy raiding that's really all I can say.

Here's a brief listing of things rogue based off the top of my head. Remember, that as a leatherworker, you'll also want to check out LW rewards!

Aldor - Epic sword at exalted, also atleast a blue ring that you can buy, and of course shoulder enchants at honored and revered.

Scryer - Epic dagger at exalted - the fastest of the 3 epic rep daggers; also a pair of pants at revered (you'll likely already have these replaced by the time you would get them), and of course the shoulder enchants.

You should grind exalted with one of the above factions when you hit 70. You'll eventually want to have the shoulder enchant.

For heroic keys you'll need revered with: honor hold, lower city, the shatar (sp?), cen expedition, and keepers of time. I've found that honor hold/thral is the most boring as a rogue. Do yourself a favor and try to get in as many instance groups as possible while you're leveling in that area. You'll get rep and hopefully be able to make revered without having to come back and farm shattered halls (which has relatively little good rogue loot and sucks a fat one). Cen exp is similar... again run instances! And turn in your unidentified plant parts early as you can't do it after honored! It's not a bad idea to do all your faction specific quests in that zone first so you can collect some plant parts, turn them in, then do the quests from Cen exp! For the other 3 factions, keepers of time specificially, it doesn't really matter... you'll get most of your rep from instances. Lower city and shatar (again sp?) have some quests, but not nearly as many as honor hold and cen exp.

Cen Exp - Revered gets you the helm glyph (34ap/16hit) which you IMHO should be atleast able to purchase. There is also a chest piece at honored that's fairly decent while leveling.

KoT - Exalted dagger, the slowest/hardest hitting of the rep daggers. Also a decent PvP trinket at exalted(with a wierd PvE effect) if you need some extra stam and resiliance for PvP.

Consortium - dagger at exalted (nerfed next patch but still good - only stats were nerfed a bit), gun at revered with decent stats.

I know there's a nice bow that you can get in thral with exalted, and I think there's a gun for aliance in honor hold. If the stats are the same, that's a good piece too.

hmm everyone always talks about the weapon each faction has to offer. That's what screwed me up as well.

You should also look into what quest rewards you get from each faction. If I wasn't already revered with Aldor I would switch to Scryers just for that +20 hit belt.

Thank you Meridus.

That is the kind of information I have been looking for. I am currently a 69 rogue that is just lightly questing. I haven't looked into the requirements for the heroic instances yet.

Great brief summary!
thanks again.

Also Honor Hold - exalted gun is very nice for combat rogue or any rogue that uses SnD as it has all stats those rogues love, +11agi, +11 hit, and +22 ap. Not the best of any of the 3, but the only gun I've seen(haven't looked real hard) that has all 3 on the same weapon.
