Would this build be good for PvP and raids and arenas?

Shaman in raids bigest thing we bring to the table is Totems and, i have yet to meet a caster / healer group who wouldnt welcome having a totem of wrath combined with a MT totem. Your gear dont need to be focused around healing but having those 31 points into rsto makes you welcome almost anywhere and for the other 30 you can chose your spec wether it be elemental or enhancement and focus your gear on what YOU want to do.

Looks like a typical suicide build...all offensive no defense.

From that fact alone I wouldn't call it a "Jack of all trades" spec. Not saying its not a fun way to play :)....I just wouldn't call it well rounded at all.

I'd call something like this more well rounded...not that I'd play it, but it might be well rounded. Its the most effcient normal heals, tot and shocks a sham can get. SS for close quarters, and at least "some" points to help with long range bolts. But, your not going to be "great" at either catagory.

Even tho sham's are ment to be "hybrids"...the problem lies in the spec's synergy with gearing. Unlike Druids, we can't change our "gearing" mid combat, and concidering that our class is soo gear dependant in our roles, this really limits are flexibility in the field, certainly in mid situation anyhow. So basically what ends up happening by default is that "we" must make the choice of being more 1 dimentional (for that situation, while in combat anyhow). Also, if your casting, you not meleeing...but if you intended to melee at the start of the fight, then your more than likely not wearing caster gear (meaning that your severly gimped at extended healing or long range dps dmg and duration to maintain either). Vice versa if your intention was to cast, but end up meleeing.

The solution to this problem is to carry a BUNCH of different gear sets, and having the knowledge ahead of time to have a idea to which you need to be wearing, before the situation happens...and to hope the situation stays the way you intended it too.

here is a build i played around with

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=uE0zxchoZxVfzV0sAuo

I was pushing 850 spell dmg and used Flametouge on both weapons. the weapons I used where Gavel of Unearthed Secrets (150 spell dmg) and Nethershard (61 spell dmg) and slapped 40 spell dmg on each. It was more for fun and it was fun seeing the flame dmg crit for 500+

It was basicly the opposite of what normal shaman are, I used damage over time instead of random burst. A nice bonus was in this build I was able to keep over 8k mana and health which is sometimes difficult for a normal enhancement shaman. Also my heals had a nice buff to them with all the dmg/healing gear. For added burst I had SS and Earth Shock and that would crit for around 2.5k. It was also fun having all these hidden affects. When I scored a crit with a earth shock my next Earth Shock was free and I would gain 9% crit with weapons. While my weapons did not crit hard when my weapons crit it gave me Flurry which was an increase of dmg from my weapon buffs. Also whenever someone crit me I could heal myself back up a little bit easier with eye of the storm.

I don't suggest this build to anyone, it is a for fun build, it is something I thought i would share since it did feel more like a jack of all class due to how I geared myself.

That is the way I envisioned the Enhancement Shaman should have always been. Paladins are the physical damage class, we should have been the magic damage class. Even Enhancement should have been built for close range magic damage. It's almost like they were trying to make it this way: Stormstrike, Flametongue/Frostbrand, shocks on such short range, lightning shield.. etc

However, it's too late to change the entire tree around.

I was in a rush so i couldnt think of a better name for this thread, i know its not a jack of all trades build, i was just wondering if its very good for PvP, arena and raids. I want to be able to compete with fury warriors, mages, locks, and anything but a combat rogue i think i can come close to. I dont mind not doing as much dmg as some of those pure dmg classes because i can also do other beneficial things for a group.
