When are craftables replaced?Follow

I've been checking out the Spellfire and Spellstrike sets lately and they are pretty insane. My guild is on the curator at the moment. I don't have tailoring as a profession so I can buy Spellstrike but not Fire. My question is, how deep into the game would I be able to get if I were using these 2 sets. How long until I were to get something so powerful I had to replace them. If these sets go deep then I may have to respec tailoring cause they are dang nice :P

I think Spellfire is the best set for Fire mages at the moment. I looked at the Tirisfal Regalia (Tier 5) chest and gloves and they aren't even close in terms of raw +spell damage and +spell crit.

Maybe keep an eye out for Tier 6 pieces?

Spellfire and Frozen Shadoweave are supposed to see a nerf in the next patch while T5 is seeing a buff.

They'll still easily smack down T4, but it'll be close on T5 and they'll certainly be replaceable by T6.

Aww I didn't know they were getting nerfed, I've been spending time Powerleveling my Tailoring so that I could get myself these two sets...

I more then likely wont see the life of T5 or T6, so I might aswell keep working for em =\

The nerf is not documented so there is still a chance it won't make it into Live. However, it is likely that it will IMO.

The nerf isn't too bad for Frozen Shadoweave. IIRC, it will lose 34 spell damage in total, making it still better than T4 and about equal to T5. I think the problem was that it is better than T5 in its current form (in terms of raw spell damage). I assume the nerf to Spellfire is similar.

A blue post said that the PTR nerf WON'T make it to live and that the stats will remain as is. Now, if we could only get all of the Tailors to unite against Hypothermia. Smiley: lol

Spellfire and Spellstrike will easily last you until T5. It's then where I personally will be taking T5 over them.

spellfire + spellstrike > t5 imo
Only t6 will be a slight improvement and for many people t6 will be something they will never see.
I got 2/3 spellfire and 1/2 spellstrike atm and all i can think about is that blizzard must support gold sellers for putin epic items of this quality so in the reach of nabz with gold.

Where do you find any clue of what his name might be to look under ctprofiles?

Uhh... I think he means go and create a ctprofile with the gear you want to see? You can create a fake character, make him any level you want, and select any gear from the list.

I wear full Spellfire and Spellstrike.

Both sets are well worth the effort to get.
