Hi all,

I'm a bit bored of the classic shadow spec,
I'd like to know if a Holy/Disc spec can be nice for dps and pvp....

I do not really know much about that spec, but I'd like to have some suggestions^^

thnx all

am i currently exploring that with my priest. i'm working on a holy/disc build that can work for both PvP and PvE. here's the thread i just posted about my build my idea is to maximize my abilities in healing then the rest of my talents to improve my buffs and individual ability to retaliate and defend myself but in the meantime now compromising my overall responsibility as a priest.

I was interested in holy/disc as a dps build mainly.... focusing on spelldamage for high holy fire/smite critics most

I use a disc/holy build so I can heal well and still farm.
I spec'ed into Power Infusion, Surge of Light, and Wand specialization

My opening spell is a macro (from memory... may not be exactly right):

/cast [harm] Power Infusion
/stopcasting
/cast [harm] my +damage trinket
/stopcasting
/cast [harm] Inner Focus
/stopcasting
/cast Holy Fire

If stuff is on cooldown, it just gives a 'not ready' message and moves to the next spell. It's a fantastic way to get the most damage out of your talents/cooldowns. Use the icon for Holy Fire for this macro so you can see if you're in range when you use it.

The most entertaining kills are when SoL procs itself and I instant smite 2-3 times in a row. Unfortunately, the next patch may "fix" this... by fix, they mean it will remove the ability to crit but it will still charge you the mana for casting it.

They are fixing it completely. It will behave according to the tooltip - I tested this on the PTR. It won't cost mana, and it should no longer crit and proc itself. Takes all the fun away, but I really don't like how it consumes mana as of now.
