Hello there ,currently at lvl 54 ,i dont worry about gear so much ,well till i hit 70 then i will.Im full affliction and spending rest in demo so far.
My question is wich is better,i know most of end game gear have stam as well as spell or shadow dmg bonus, but if i get in situation where i have to choose from those two, what to take and wich is more important in PvP ?
Or do i just need to balance out stam and dmg ?
And can some of you higher lvls tell me if aff is good ,reliable in PvP ?or as i read destro is king ?
sry for all these questions ^^ .
Thanks in advance.

Whil I was leveling I was all for +stam, however after reaching 70 (when I also respecced to affli/demo), I noticed I'm paying always more attention to +spell dmg.
I try to maintain a certain equilibrium between the two, but +spell damage (or +shadow damage alone) always comes first for me.

Theres no universal truth, no universal build.

Generally in pvp you need more stamina then a pve build. But I mean GENERALLY. In your average PUG thats the case. In a tight knit group, you can hang back and deal massive damage with lots of spell dmg and crit. It depends how much you trust your healers and melee people, can they keep people off you? Playing with pugs all the time I would stack more stam gear then I'm comfortable with. Ideally I would BG with the same 5-6 people all the time, but I don't pvp much and thats not the case.

My personal priority is spell dmg over stam. Thats me. Others are different. It comes down to:

Damage - kill faster, die faster
Stamina - kill slower, die slower

Thats as simple as it gets. Some people value defense, some value offense, some want to be solid at everything and exceptional at nothing (but also weak at nothing). I rate stamina quite high personally (defense) but I rate spell/shadow damage higher (offense). At the same time spell crit is important to me and my build (more offense), but I put a higher priority on stamina.

Personally I rate order of importance like this:

Spell damage > shadow damage > stamina > spell crit > intel > spell penetration

But if theres a big hole in one, I focus on patching that up. Other people would put stamina as #1, thats their choice. I don't agree with it, but that doesn't mean its wrong.

I am a huge stamina and spell power junkie. At lvl 70 I try to keep my hp over 7500 before imp (heavy affliction) and I still manage to keep 670+ shadow dmg, 630 fire bonus.
That is just with tailored armors and quest items / outland greens (a few decent enchants, but cant help it being tailor/enchanter). I am working on a set with MASSIVE shadow dmg, good for SoC lower instances for buddies/boredom
