What´s more useful for a hunter; +critical strike or +attack power?
from outland most items have both critical rating and attack power. but if I were to chose one i would take critical rating.
depends purely on what you have equipped, how high your crit rating is, how high your ap is.
and with complicated math, you should be able to calculate exactly how much dps something gives you.

It's actually not THAT complicated. The more AP you have, the more useful crit is. The more crit you have, the more useful AP is. The only thing mildly tricky is determining the "how much?" of the argument.
Start off focusing mostly on agility and AP. Work on crit a bit more as your gear improves. (And sooner rather than later if you're going survival.) I saw a post on the WoW boards that said "once your tooltip DPS is over 300, go pure crit." It isn't quite as simple as that. But he has the right spirit.

Only the exceptions can be exceptional.
Numbers I like- 2000+ AP and 20+% crit

He's refferring to the chess event, you goof. It's possible if the raid has cleared to it beforehand as trash does not respawn after the boss has been killed. The event would be hard with 1, easy with 2, 10 people it's a joke

Ok sorry, I got that off my chest, sorry Aethien. But really, I never asked, "Is Kara soloable?" I asked, "Can you go to and do the CHESS PART solo?"
Because I have heard rumors, and even from people who have did Kara =P who said it was possible. I do not know anything about Kara but I am awesome at chess [must be why I'm so good at leading groups =P] and being able to do it would just be awesome *g*

Well, mabye it could be possible if you did something like the same trick while soloing the BRD worg [man that was fun.] Pre-BC it was the only way to get Bite 9.
relax arthas, i was just kidding, though i dont know about the event itself, it is probably impossible to get there alone.
unless your a rogue, but even then i think there are enough mobs there that can and will see you.
and i doubt your guild will let you solo it after they helped you clear the way there =P

Oh I know, I was joking too... but sometimes it's hard to tell with letters.
I wouldn't ask that of them, but if I did they probally would if nobody else wanted to do it. We don't do too many hard-core instances and we're a casual guild, but we are ranked #1 guild on Undermine, my server, WooT!

Ahh, don't worry about it. I said the best guild on the server, now that depends on the server doesn't it? Nothing against my guild, they're excellent and I love them, they're like my digital family =P.
Jw, my server is a very low population, not many items on the AH [horde ones are horrible!], but from what I hear, it isn't too hard to pick up outland-instance PuGs compared to other servers. Good ones, well that's a different story...
But the good thing is you get easy farming/grinding/questing. You don't usally have to share spots, it's wonderful!
But how are the populated servers like anyhow?

good server, with guilds going to SSC (i think 1 or 2 started it already, not sure though)
so my guild (only in kara yet, all but 1-2 last bosses are downed, and 2 groups inside) is a rather low end for raiding, but very laid back and fun.

Lol, let me put it this way,
I log on about 2 hours before Azlirene does,
He logs on, I switch to Sulldoon, in 15 minutes we have a group and are running an instance (PuG), oh the wonders of having a freinds list full of people who can ACTUALLY PLAY THEIR TOONS!!!!!
Guild runs... Grouped, then 30-60 minutes later we are actually in the instance- 60 minute instance becomes 2-3 hours, too many damn breaks!!

I'm on Spinebreaker which is an old(er) PvP server. From memory there are 15,000 Horde and 10,000 Alliance on this server and EVERY instance entrance is almost a guaranteed gankfest. LOVE IT

To the OP, A funny thing is that like Caldone I have high RAP (2000 self buffed) and always rate high on the chart in groups. One of my hunters just respecced from BM to MM/SV like myself and is beating me on the meters with 1400 RAP WTF!!!.. We compared gear and the only thing I can see is that he is 23% crit and I was 16%.. I'm now serching for +crit gems :-)

Ahh ganking, they can't just wait for their PvP flags to turn off...
I wish I could go to a PvP server more easily, too bad for the $25 and I have my guild and alot of mates on my server.
