But since I'm bored, I read through the thread, and I have one thing to say;
Quote:
imo, warlocks and hunters are both very underestimated.
HA HA HA HA HA oh god, that's funny.... oh wait, you're serious?
Well, then again, about a year and a half of nerfs being thrown around does kind of muddle your memory, but I'm still pretty sure that about half of those nerfs went towards locks and hunters. But I'm still pretty sure that anybody who underestimates a hunter (or, even worse, a lock) in PvP (PvE not so much, but still so) has probably never seen a good player with a lock. Or a Hunter, but pretty much at any level after 46 or so lock>hunter in PvP in most cases I've seen.
And, since I'm still bored, I'll answer the question!
1) They're about even. They both have pets to keep the aggro off while you hit them from far away.
2) Hunters can fill up any holes you might have for a 5-man, but they're less popular as you get higher in level because they have less focus than other classes. Kind of like a druid, but not as severe.
3) Warlock stratagem: DoT, DoT, DoT, Fear, send in the pet to finish, get a shadowblast or some other nuke ready when (if) they start to make their way back.
Hunter stratagem: It's so different depending on your pet, but I think my favorite is to use a scorpid. If you have the jump on them, you can crippling poision them and take a few aimed/arcane shots at them, put on a sting, and then start to back pedal away while your pet beats on them. The fact of the matter is, they're both rather good classes for PvP, but it all matters on how good you are at the game.
4) Warlocks don't have to pay for a level 40 mount, and Hunters have to buy ammo, but don't use as much (AS MUCH, note) water as Warlocks.
