Tracking bug, don't tell BlizzardFollow

Ok, ever since last week's updates my hunter's tracking skill has been plagued with a wierd bug.

When I put on "Track Humanoids" and "Track Undead", these mobs are tracked...with a little bit extra.

Animal type mobs are also showing up on my radar when Humanoid and Undead are still enabled. So I have both types of mobs dotting my radar at the same time.

LMAO. Now I can track Undead/Humanoid and Beast mobs at the same time. Oops!

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really loathe to report this to Blizzard, because now I have upgraded tracking due to their crappy programming/patching.

And for the record, I have no UI mods installed-none whatsoever, so this goof-up is most likely a problem on Blizzard's end.

No, I have not seen this. The only time I have seen anything *remotely* resembling this was when something was tagged a creature type I didn't think it should be, but that was working as intended.

Might want to check your UI mods and see if your little bug still works without them.

Used my humanoid tracker for a few hours today, didn't get the bonus info... Darn!

when you noticed the bug was the Aspect of the Beast on while the Humanoid/undead tracker was on

Nope, it wasn't. And I almost never use Aspect of the Beast. I've maybe used it once when I first trained it, and was like, "meh, doesn't seem to be very useful to me" and then never used it again.

nice skill to get away from enemy hunters. If you activate aspect of the beast he can't find you with his humanoid tracker

If you use Hunter's Mark, your target appears on the radar (regardless of tracking). Other than that, I haven't experienced anything like this.

Yeah, that is what I figure it was intended for. But since I play on a pve server, I rarely have to worry about an unexpected ganking. I could see that this talent would be quite useful on a pvp server though.

As a programmer myself, I must say it's not crappy code. It happens that doing a game of this scale is rough. One little change can affect various things in the game. Bugs will be constantly appearing and fixed. They're not doing too badly, in my opinion.

Perhaps, you're marking beasts?

Nope, I'm not marking these beasts either.

Let me put it this way:

I'm not using aspect of the beast.
I have not used hunters mark on the beasts. Every beast within my radar's tracking radius is showing up while I have humanoid/undead tracking on. Hunter's mark only shows the one beast you have marked when you have some other tracking on other than beast tracking.
I have no UI mods installed in my game. I never have had any UI mods installed in my game.

I know, unbelievable that my tracking could be bugged in such a way!

Could it have been a glitch when the patch was being installed? Like a small fault in the patch installation on a bad sector of your hard drive. If not fixed...thats awesome for you!!!!

I actually experienced this bug on the test server, only in reverse. I had Beast tracking on, but could see all humanoids on the radar as well. Didn't see any others on the radar, but didn't have all of the different type mobs to track.

Haven't seen this on a live server, though.

It is like this every patch cycle. Not sure if they disable something in client or break something every patch.

This morning on test, could only track one thing again.

Hmm, I would love to get on the test realm to try out my bugged tracking, but the blizzard download is taking forever! By the time this stupid test patch downloads for me 1.7 will probably be live.

Oh yeah, this bug is on a normal pve server. I am not playing on a test server!

Tried newer test server patch. Can track herbs and one other thing again.
