The best coffee close to me (at work or at home) is Starbucks, if I'm not brewing at home. Which is sad.

But if I'm in Princeton, there's Small World Coffee. Very good coffee. And obviously, both Philly and NYC have great coffee.

I MIGHT be going to New Orleans for work next weekend, in which case, coffee coffee coffee beignet coffee.

Yeah, when I was in New Orleans, all that stood out for me was coffee too. Smiley: wink

Try the catfish gumbo. In fact, try all the Creole food you can. And Cajun. In fact, just try all the food. Yes, I realize my initial snark is blown due to my real suggestion.

So I was doing a quick alt run with some guildmates last night, and we had to pug a few spots. There was this one shaman who was just so, so bad, and one of my guildmates dared me to take a shot every time he died. He ended up with 18 deaths and I ended up very, very intoxicated last night.

Came to mind after playing Directive 7 (SWTOR) on my female Trooper. So much Mass Effect.

I bet they pushed him into the fire on purpose. Smiley: wink

How's that game doing anyway? I'm going to have to pop back in eventually.

The next expansion (3.0) is out soon (December-ish), so right now you get 12x XP on class missions if you preorder (until first of December). The exp boost enables you to level up by just doing class missions. Great time, because I get to skip the repetitive planet missions.

Also, major overhaul to the skill system (and effects) in the expansion.

Huh okay, I'm going to have to read up on that. Would be fun to finish my bounty hunter up already.

You still have to buy 2.0 to get access to 3.0 I'm guessing? I've been away for a while... Smiley: blush

I assume so, yes. Not sure if 2.0 will be made free (like Blizzard did with the expansions) once 3.0 is released, though.

I used our label maker to make a label for the label maker.

Hoo, this is an exciting career.

The important thing is that it won't be misused now. You wouldn't want someone thinking it was a stapler and getting themselves hurt.

Also, I got a new lab coat today. Smiley: cool

So I'm looking into making the =4 subreddit a lot better. Is that something people would be interested in? I know a lot of people over here don't really use it much, but I kind of want to turn it into something people would be willing to use.

Especially because there's not a ******* filter over there.

tl;dr, though: if I could figure out a way to import post count, smileys, etc, would people be more willing to use it?

Obviously I'll post there a bit regardless, as there are people there who aren't here so much anymore and such. Still think it's a cool idea though. Smiley: thumbsup

Not with the default reddit stuff, no. There's an addon for Firefox/Chrome, though which does that. Look into Reddit Enhancement Suite.

RES doesn't work for that. Fundamentally Reddit is terrible for conversations because it doesn't preserve any kind of order. I can see there are new comments but I can't see which ones they are unless I pay. filter and all, the zam experience is far better.

That only thing that really made me consider leaving was the situation with Kao, and no disrespect to him but it really wasn't enough to jump from one sinking ship into a shakier dinghy. The reddit isn't even the first "zam alternative" that's popped up.

The yutzes should come back.

I mean, I still like this place. I think the filter is way too much though, and needs a serious revision. But I also don't like that the subreddit is so obviously neglected. I'd really just like to clean it up a bit, and that post was mostly about figuring out how to do that.

I do think that the owners are driving the forum into the ground, though, so I wouldn't mind having a backup if it gets too bad.

The bonus thing about reddit is that I'm there already, so extra points for not making me do more stuff, and it's nice to see familiar names pop in occasionally.

I don't see it actually taking the place of ZAM (for me at least) unless they do pull the plug on this place at some point.
