I'm usually drunk when I'm in class. Not at work, mind you, but at the college Tuesday nights. Six hours of math lecture after a 9-hour workday is just not possible without the consumption of equal amounts of alcohol and coffee.
How do you even absorb information at that point?

I love how much free sh*t I get at my university. At the health center there's a fishbowl of condoms, take all you want. It's beautiful.

Also, I made a thingy. Or at least I started making a thingy. There's a lot more I want to do with it, assuming I have the time and don't get bored.

Interesting theory, but I'm not sure how well it'll work in application.

I just don't think the fishbowl would fit. Maybe with crazy amount of lube?

It's 4:45 in the morning, and I'm still working on homework. I have class at 9:30 AM, and I'm looking at working straight through for at least 14 hours after that.

I miss sleep.

So anyway I was working on my mod last night trying to add some new female voices (the ones in the game are beyond awful) and I managed to freak out my youngest. Listening to 20 different female screams and a bunch of grunts and cheers and stuff really didn't sit well with her. She was in the other room and heard them, didn't know what was going on, and ran crying to mommy. Mommy was less than thrilled. So I'll go with the "I hope this works approach" I think, and assume I did everything right and the voices are in the game properly. That's a good idea right?

Smiley: rolleyes

A reminder why I play games without sound 99% of the time...

Headphones! Worth every penny, I think; especially if you can find a good pair.

Yeah I have a pair, or at least I had one, they've finally worn out on me though it seems. Can't hear anything with them and the mic doesn't work anymore either. Really need to invest in some. Smiley: lol

I liked Philosophy. It's been surprisingly useful too. If you can whip up a 10 page long essay defending the idea that a chair doesn't actually exist in reality, making a case about anything less odd becomes trivial.

You just got started, give it some time. Then again I suppose I just had it for a minor, not a major...

Half of a scientist's job is making convincing arguments to other people so they give you money. That usually requires less of a logical leap of faith than that stuff I had to argue in Philosophy classes.

Wish I was studying a humanities subject right now. Math is ******* retarded with the calculations and proofs. You can't talk your way out of a pinch in math. Frustrating.

And somehow I need to learn advanced math to teach kids how to divide 3 with 2.
