First track from the mix he linked is Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede. Very memorable intro, and the track used for the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer(s).

I'm all for retro-gaming, but damn... watching this **** gives me a headache. What're the white things blinking all over? I don't get it.

Edit: My syntax is all over the place today.

It's kinda hard to feel sad for a game you never got to know but it's still a long project that got canceled.

the best ones are long projects that get finished then a month later become unnecessary

wasted effort is the best Smiley: rolleyes

I can respect Blizzard for killing off a game that was going nowhere, must be unpleasant for the people who have spent 7 years of their life on it though.

Also, I ordered a bottle of this stuff.

That's just the nature of the game design business, though. I doubt they didn't know the risks going in.

And besides, this isn't going to be 100% wasted - I guarantee they're going to cannibalize the good parts into this new project they've got going on.

any new game engine type stuff is all ready in the code base

not all the effort is wasted with this type of a project

as i assume they are writing most code fairly modular for re-usability, well at least where possible

the game specific stuff might never again see the light of day though

Don't worry, it's very rare inside a thread.

If I'm on Zam, I came to check this thread, so it being slower means I check less frequently.

And I don't really game much anymore. Growing up is stupid and I don't like it.

Most of my free time during the week disappears into general life stuff or working out. So my weekends are the only time to game... and essentially all my non-work RL social interaction with people.

So, little gaming.

I'll try and make time for it when DAI comes out in November, though.

You shouldn't let that hold you back.

Also, ever since I learned the module system for Mount and Blade was written in python I've been having the urge to make my own mod. We'll see how long this lasts, but they made changing the game so ridiculously easy it has the potential to keep me occupied for a while.

I mostly just feel less and less inclined to post because every other ******* word is censored and every forum is full of ******* spam.

It was awesome at 10 when you got the new legos. Would have been nice if it stopped before you started slowing down at stuff.

They should, or the people who made them should die horribly slowly. What wasn't waterproof?
