I ordered one, so when it gets here I'll let you know what I think. I got the 2.3, they're currently working on 4.0, 3.0 was apparently a lemon for some drivers, so they iterated to 4.0 really quickly.

You've got character creation and then there's Korean character creation.

I need a more powerful computer. Smiley: lol

[EDIT]

I really can't imagine the actual in-game effect would be with models that dynamic. I feel like they're letting you create your own model to be SUPER personal, but that you'll mostly display a smaller set of stock options to other people based around your choices.

I have literally no proof of that, I just can't imagine a current MMO coming out with character generation that advanced. It's just takes too much power, unless the game has super limited model limits (like you'll be instanced into levels with 3 other people and that's it).

That said, I'd seriously consider buying that character creator as a stand-alone game.

Yeah, that was my first thought. It's great that you can make a beautiful game, but no amount of eye candy is going to make me want to grind mobs for 5 hours a day, seven days a week, to gain 1 level.

Saints Row III released their character creator right before the game was released and that killed several hours for me.

So it's in the news here that there will probably be 3 Major League Baseball games held in the Netherlands in 2015. I have no idea why but apparently it's big news or something despite the fact that the only Dutch people who care about baseball live closer to the US than to Hoofddorp where the events will be held.

I was handed a 58 page document and told to proof it so it could go to the printer today.

I have a ton of **** to do (as in, other priority projects I was just given that need to be done ASAP), and this document is a ******* mess.

Later, another coworker (the one who SHOULD have given this document a while ago) walks in and asks if I'm on track for a 1 pm deadline.

I wasn't even told there WAS a 1 pm deadline, and she asked that around 12:15.

I told her she could get it by 3 if she was lucky. Meanwhile my other projects are just ending up in a worse state (because they're growing with the time I'm not spending on them), and I'm already scheduled for a 13 hour shift tomorrow.

And I just found out that I can't work from home from Friday (as is typical), and that it's JUST going to be me and my boss here. The one who gives me panic attacks.

I'm just going to kill myself instead.

Killing other people is almost always the superior alternative to killing one's self. And I'm talking like 99.∞% of the time.

Stay home sick on Friday? Or go and imagine making out/having sex with your boss (female boss, right?) until it makes you vomit and then go home sick.

I will never play a MMO ever again.

The prevailing mentality is that something is a great success if they eventually stumble across the finish line accidentally. "Sometimes a pick up group will surprise you" is not a mentality that I want to associate around. Ever. I don't play video games to be surprised at succeeding at a task. I don't do anything where success is a surprise. Failure should be the surprising outcome.

I mostly play MMOs because I may or may not want to chat while playing at some point. Group content is often secondary to solo content for me.

Plus, having a really open-ended progression pathway can sometimes be nice.
