The clear solution is to worship Thor.

I've had to settle for trapping 100s of people in a pool with no exit. Not perfect, but it'll do. Smiley: frown

Anywho, I like building coasters that weave through the whole park, around rides, over the food court, etc. This whole piling up the track in one place thing just doesn't work for me.

I shall post a PoV video of the coaster I just helped/am helping to build for an RCT3 competition tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, it weaves in and out of an aztec/mayan/general southern american temple.

Best part of the game. Can you at least still crash rides?

A bar near me is celebrating their grand opening.

With penny pints of beer.

It won't kill people though.

But you can do stuff like this:

Son of a *****. Where's the fun in that? Why did they make it PG all of a sudden?

All of a sudden? You realize the game is 10 years old right?

Are you saying it's been like this in RCT3 since ever?

I wonder which RCT I used to play. Pretty sure you could drown people and kill them on rides there.

Yes. In RCT1 and 2 you could kill people, RCT3 is the 3D version of the game. And the good thing about RCT3 is that it is relatively easy to create custom scenery so there is lots of it. In the screenshot I posted above there is a whopping 1 piece of scenery (out of thousands) that comes with the original game.

There's still something amusing about watching virtual people bounce around like a pinballs apparently, judging from the number of videos on youtube and such.

Can they die in horrific roller coaster accidents, though? I mean, that was like three quarters of the fun right there.

Naw, you can drop them from several stories up, send them into a brick wall at 200mph, etc and after bouncing around for a bit they shake the cobwebs out of their head and try to find their way back to the ride.

I never really cared about the killing people in RCT. I mean, if I wanted to kill people I'd go play Assassins Creed or something. I'd much rather spend my time in RCT3 building cool stuff.

I happen to think building elaborate death traps is quite amusing.

The most fun I had with the RCT games was trying to create a rollercoaster that launched the cars clear out of the park, or two separate rides that would crash midair.

A cool coaster that sends its passengers to an early and fiery grave.

Ultimately, though, I suppose it depends on what you want from a game. My dad can spend hours building sh*t in Flight Simulator # and I find it the most boring thing in the world. I prefer a bit of action along with my building - like in RTS games.
