Just got off the phone with my wife. She teaches High School Chemistry in Queens (which is in the NYC school system). There was noise in the background so I asked what was going on. She said, "Oh, it's just the cops." I asked what that's supposed to mean, just the cops. She said, "They're here every day. Probably a couple of gang bangers in a fight."

Every day. How reassuring.

As long as it's firm enough to leave my butt red, I concur.

butts look the best when they're glowing. Or wrapped in latex or other tight clothing, that's good too.

The position was from the first of August, but work doesn't start until August 5. Kids return to school on the 8th.

To be fair, finding a job as a teacher is pretty difficult right now. I just happened to spot their advertisement and they felt I was the right person for the job. Got the green light call not one hour after leaving the interview.

Maz is just awesome, clearly above the curve and such.

Clearly. Actually, I asked them why they chose me out of all the applicants and they said that I was honest, direct and possessed a calm demeanor, which they found important. Also, my sense of humor matched that of the social life in the teacher's room.

Not gravitas... authoritah! I am able to seize the class room as I enter it. That's what they've told me after every internship, anyway. I wrote an essay about seizing the room in "general didactics" and got the equivalent of an A+. Also, my halo is surprisingly shiny today, isn't it?

Oh, and this. It's 20ºC or so in my room, I'm sitting down, windows are open, and I'm sweating like I've just been out running.

Second grats. You clearly made a great impression, and took the initiative in the first place.

Haven't decided if this is awesome, or just very very scary. It may be both, let me get back to you on this.

Scary because my sense of humor is messed up, or scary because I was hired on those grounds?

Well yeah, they have a booming beastiality industry.

That pretty much demands a warped sense of humor.

I know, right? Also, you've been hanging out too much in the Asylum. You're getting meaner every day.
