Punks are cool. People trying too hard to adhere to a social dress code aren't. The lead singer looks like he could go spear fishing if he dove into the ocean. Smiley: dubious

My Shaman's Healing Surge hits for ~11k and crits for 22k. With self buffs, I'm at ~7500 SP and 16.75% crit. Under tidal waves, the crit chance goes up to 46.75%. On a crit, I get an extra 30% heal on the lowest % health friendly target nearby, so that's potentially 28k on the tank if he's low.

Using your 13k normal hits, the crits are (now) 26k, and if your crit chance is anywhere near mine, you have a 75% chance to crit with Regrowth if you picked up 3/3 Nature's Bounty. With 3/3 Living Seed, 75% of the time you're getting a free ~9k heal the next time the tank takes damage, so the total healing if the tank gets hit between casts is ~37k.

My pally and priest aren't 85, so I can't compare their numbers to mine. Also, numbers are post 4.2 with the crit buff. Prior to that, my shaman's total would be ~22k and a druid's would be 26k. That's all ignoring the HoT portion of Regrowth.

I guess Earth shield counts... doesn't seem much better than barkskin other than the fact that you can cast it on other people. Priest and pally shields are much stronger though, considering they absorb and not just reduce damage.

Do shamans have a shield? I know that priests and pallies do obviously, but I wasn't aware of shamans having a shield. Maybe I've just been lucky, but so far I haven't had any issues keeping the tank up or most of the DPS if they aren't doing something stupid. Hell, I even managed to keep up a tank in half pvp gear that only had one piece of gear with dodge or parry on it... I only stuck through that for one fight, the guy in SFK who summons the worgen. I got killed towards the end of the fight because people didn't kill the adds and the tank didn't get threat off me. After that I left. I was so not dealing with that for another 30+ minutes.

Shaman's don't have an absorb shield. They have Earth Shield for one target, it has an ICD of ~3.5 sec and procs a heal of ~4k that can crit. Crit heals proc a 10% physical damage reduction on the target, a smart heal at 30% of the crit, and mana regen from Resurgence. My NS is just an instant-cast CD at 2 min.

The big thing shamans do have is Tidal Waves. I get two 1.6-sec-cast efficient heals/big heals every time I use laser heals or riptide, and I cast riptide pretty much on CD (6 sec).

Admit it. Without Maz and Aeth, this thread was pretty tame. Only really picked up when Pigtails was getting frisky.

I have a personal beef against the Seed. Problem is, it heals after the damage. But its wasted if the target dies. It should work as a shield.
Damage absorbed is ALWAYS better than damaged healed.

Tails is always frisky. And yeah, there's less beer and boobs without Maz+Aeth, and more discussion about beer and boobs. We talked about things. The girls took over it seems...

10% physical damage reduction is the same as a 10% physical shield. So, Shammy have a somewhat shield.
Druid has a lackluster auto-heal that doesnt stack.

I'm not feeling at all frisky atm, but that's probably because of the stomach cramps and other "issues" I'm having right now.

Doesn't change the fact that, if this thread were to turn towards sex, you'd make it the most NSFW.

Hah, female bodies can be such a pain.

That being said, it's past midnight and I've had four hits of dokha today, down from... 9 or so? yesterday.

I haven't had a cigarette in days and reducing my smoking actually works well with dokha!
