Heh, I'm not doing it out of a feeling of being patriotic. One of my friends is having a party, and I'm going to it, has nothing to do with Independence day really. =x

And where the hell is Maz? Is something happening in Europe? Something involving beer and women?

If it involves beer and women I can't wait.

I found this the other day. IMO, awesome games. Thinking about buying 2 or 3 of those.

FFG makes some solid games but they are notoriously LONG. Whether that length is intriguing or dragging is dependent on the game and your tastes. I love Arkham Horror, but loathe Runebound/Runewars/Talisman. I've heard good things about Starcraft, and while Civilization is a solid game it takes a very long time between turns, so it's easy to get distracted (which makes your turn take even longer because you have to be able to catch up on everything that happened the turn before).

They are also not games you want to play around little kids, as there are potentially hundreds of pieces in each one. Swallowing hazards are everywhere, not to mention the propensity for losing some of them (and certain ones are unique, so losing them means you're screwed bad in terms of gameplay).

Of course. Rumor has it that's what everyone over there does during the summer when the whole continent shuts down. Smiley: wink

On a side note they need to stop sequencing genomes of random animals. It's makes more work for me. Dog, Rhesus Monkey, Human Cytomegalovirus, different Mycobacterium species, etc. Everyone wants an analysis done with their new favorite critter. I miss the days when everyone had to use mice. Smiley: frown

I've heard they can do that for like $20k a pop or something these days. Don't expect me to touch the samples though. Smiley: wink

Well yeah, no one wants that on them. Which is part of the problem, I'd wager. Smiley: lol

On the plus side I googled 'dog' to make sure I had the right genus/species and was instantly distracted by many pictures of cute puppies. Smiley: lol

So much puppies...

Yay, puppies!

Also, mangoes. I so hope my friend doesn't forget the mangoes tomorrow. Does that sound wrong or what?
#7841 Jul 05 2011 at 8:01 PM Rating: Good
Yay puppies indeed! I'll have to get a picture of my friends' puppy, he's adorable! He's half corgie and half something else, and he's one of the most adorable puppies I've ever seen. And his name is Malarkey. =x How appropriate is that for a puppy?

I hate dogs. Or, rather, I hate irresponsible dog owners that let their animals roam all over the neighborhood and tear up other people's property or scare their kids. There's a big black mutt running around my neighborhood and it keeps my daughter from going outside some days because she's afraid of it. There are leash / control laws for a reason, especially if you live in a city/state that won't let you just shoot the damn thing.

Call the police and file a complaint about it. They can be fined, which should put an end to it.

Don't mind me, just making my quarterly check of the alla druid boards.

Looks like...

Yup all up to specs.

Edit: omg, do I see a pet thread being established?

This is the kitten I gave my wife for her birthday last November. His name is Kevin, and he has a mustache.

Edit again!

If you look at the picture with him and his cone you'll notice I have a glass of whiskey/sprite, a large glass at that.
