You never know what young children know...
#7780 Jul 02 2011 at 6:02 AM Rating: Good
That's true, which is why I qualified it with a "Probably" lol.

FTFY

I can see the car ride home now: "Uncle Dave is fun, we went to this cool website about ****." Of course, being totally clueless about what that means and scaring the parents half to death in the process. Smiley: lol

Huh, so I guess knowledge that little kids might be reading along ... mentions of BLUE WAFFLES would be inappropriate?

Heh, well no young children actually saw the computer screen when I opened Pigtail's post, though it was a close call. And yes, I'll be sure to stay away from the site -- or at least this thread -- next time. Smiley: tongue

lol, sorry about that! There's a reason Aeth suggested that my 10k title be NSFW.

That's a good suggestion. Smiley: nod

I can see why he said that now. Smiley: lol

Anyway, don't worry about it. As a moderator, I've seen much worse -- what you posted would not stand out at all compared to the image someone once posted about a month ago. Without going into details, let's just say that whoever made did not consider the legal repercussions of certain types of pornography first.

*shudder*

If you'll excuse me, I need some brain bleach again.

I know a guy who deals with that stuff at work all the time. I feel bad for him.

Also, apparently I'll probably be getting the ultimate dokha smoking tutorial and also some fresh real (South Asian) mangoes on Wednesday, on top of my new shalwar kameez. \o/

So, you know how, when you are watching an anime, and they eat onigiri, there is always only like 2 or 3 on the plate? And you think, "Man, they're totally going to be hungry."

OMG NO. I made them for dinner, ate 2, and I'm so full. >.<

Haha. That's rice for you.

I need to cook Japanese food again at some point.

Speaking of food, Tom was trying to be nice and brought me Brussels pâté the other day. Now, I love pâté. I've only eaten chicken/goose pâté over the last couple of years because it goes better with the combinations I like, but this time I was all "yay pâté!" and when he opened the pack I caught a whiff of the pork smell and it made me feel nauseous. Apparently I can't eat pork anymore. Huh.

I've actually been thinking. When I was 16, I became vegetarian, mostly because I wanted an excuse to refuse to eat beef and pork (because neither tastes particularly nice). My host parents in the US actually forced me to eat bacon at one point (I swallowed the whole thing like a pill so I didn't have to taste it). I mean, that has got to be illegal or something...

Mmmmm... bacon.

D:

Maybe it's just that I didn't grow up with it. Most pork I had as a child was mixed with beef. I actually like the taste of that, but either one without the other tends to taste bad to me.

Hmmm... It's different than usual for me right now, because I've been getting a lot of my caffeine from iced tea (of which I've been drinking 2-3 strong glasses a day).

But I'd say I'd normally have at least 20oz of coffee a day. More if I had a bad night or something. It's not unheard of for me to get another, but that's pretty much the minimum.

And I do get headaches if I don't have caffeine now. >.>

I get awful headaches if I don't caffeine too.
Hmm, iced tea sound more than good at this heat.

I used to drink alot more coffee than I do now. I used to drink 7-10 cups per day, but I have managed to cut down to 1-3 cups a day.

I don't drink coffee, the "high" feels too unstable to me.

I do drink about a litre or 1.5 of Irn Bru when I have it, and I decided to buy chai instead of peppermint tea yesterday so I'm on my 4th (Starbucks-sized and logo'd) mug of that now.

I'm not a big fan of beef or pork either, unless it's high quality. I love steak, and pork loin is really tasty too. Ground beef though, blech. Not a big fan of bacon unless it's on a cheeseburger or a BLT sandwich. I do like Italian sausage though, and meatballs. I'm just picky...
