Steam Halloween Sale is up. Meh deals for most of the stuff IMO.

PC version of "The Room" (the phone game not that horrible movie) is $1.25.

Sadly, nothing in a potentially perverted visual novel or dating sim on the first couple pages, so I guess I'll just have to not spend money right now.

Valkyria Chronicles (PS3 WWII SRPG) just got announced coming to PC (Steam).

You can grab the prepurchase at GMG for 28% off. (10% off plus additional 20% off using SPOOKY-TREATS-GMG20X)

Did I say something strange... Going over the post trying to figure out my mistake...

Edit:
I'm a day behind in posting it, cause I've been obsessively playing Fantasy Life on my 3DS. Addictive game is addictive.
I'm at a medium level, and when walking through a low level area on a way to a specific quest, I'll see a Bounty item or monster, kill it... then I have to run all the way back to town to turn in the bounty even though I know the bounty reward is worthless to me because it's too low a level. I must do it anyway.

Giant Carrot monster? Sure, it's reward is only 100 coins and a carrot for turning it in... but I can't just leave that crate sitting there to rot.

10% off plus 20% off = 28% off.

10% off is 90%
20% off of 90% is an additional 18%
10% + 18% = 28%

That's why 75% off plus 20% off = 80% off (common discounts levels at GMG)

Just my luck. Now you can get it for actually 30% off using this code:
SLICKD-EALS22-OFFGMG
10% + 22%.

It's only like... 40 cents difference.

What are the screaming deals everyone is hitting on for steam halloween sale?

Think I'm going to get Sanitorium and Fallout III.

Do I want or need the goty edition of Fallout. Is it more content or does it just get me a virtual mutant pet?

You want the GOTY edition as it has all the official patches plus all 3 DLCs.

I grabbed:
Kraven Manor
Drunken Robot Pornography - Had Coupon
Super House of Dead Ninjas - Ditto
Three Dead Zed

No, it's several content-based areas. More importantly, the Brotherhood of Steel DLC included with the GOTY edition allows you to 'free play' after you've completed the main quest line. Otherwise you just get the close-out narration and you're done without the chance to continue exploring the Capital Wastelands.

Green Man Gaming apparently has a VIP section now. It's possible that it's been around awhile and I just never noticed. Anyway, if you have an account, they a few new and upcoming games on sale.

CoD: AW $49.99
Dragon Age: Inquisition $47.99
Shadow of Mordor $36.49
Alien Isolation $38.49
Borderlands Presequel $44.39 (Season Pass $22.19)
Civ: BE $37.49
The Evil Within $46.19

Since that's the only deal I've found so far for DA: I, I snagged that. I was planning on buying it anyway though. I just happened to get lucky enough with my preordering procrastination that I finally got a deal on it.

I preordered the Deluxe edition from Amazon. I can cancel it if another comes along, but I'll probably just roll with it. I'm tempted by the SoM deal, but DAI comes out so soon, and I know I'll only get to play a bit before DAI hits.

And I'm debating canceling my preorder. I barely have time to play games anymore - 4.4 hours clocked on Steam in 2 weeks, and almost all of that was idling in games while I was alt-tabbed.

In a more bizarre promotion, you can get a free copy of Payday 2 by purchasing movie tickets for John Wick via Fandango. I mean, if you planned to see the movie anyway, why not?

The cost of matinee ticket + fees is actually slightly cheaper than the current Steam sale price. $7.50 vs $10.19 -- YMMV
